Float arrangement for fuel carburetors. With the usual arrangement
the fuel supply to the carburetor by means of floats arise when fuels
of varying specific gravity can easily be disrupted in the fuel supply.
For example, the carburetor by setting the float device accordingly
set and used for a fuel of a certain specific weight
if a heavier fuel is used, the float rises higher out of it.
As a result, he closes the valve earlier, so that one in the float housing
the fuel level is too low. On the other hand, a lighter fuel is used
As originally intended, the valve will only be closed at one
fuel level too high. As a result, one is forced to use the swimmer either
to connect adjustable with the valve needle and an adjustment depending on the weight
of the fuel used, or the weight of the float
change with additional weights. In any case, the regulation is cumbersome and
difficult under certain circumstances. To eliminate this deficiency _ is according to the present
Invention apart from the actual swimmer, a compensation swimmer is provided,
roughly in the sense of a variable weight load on the actual swimmer
works by exerting a counter-pressure on them, depending on the one
specific gravity of the fuel depends on the variable buoyancy. Is this
Float device for a fuel of a certain specific weight
once set correctly, it also regulates a heavier or lighter one
Fuel -properly the supply to the carburetor. You can see the float and.
The weight of the compensation float and the parts connected to it is such that
that they keep each other in balance, which is easily an influence
the fuel supply is switched off by mass effects due to impacts
will.
The drawing illustrates the invention using an exemplary embodiment.
Ate in the bucket housing, in the bottom of which the inflow valve i is located, Lefindet, as in known float devices, the float c, which acts on the valve needle d through double levers e, which are mounted on the cover b by means of supports h and on the one hand 'in an annular groove f of the spindle intervene, on the other hand rest with weights g at the other ends on the float c, possibly articulated with it. The swimmer c is surrounded by a second swimmer k , the. is rigidly connected to the needle d by arms l.
des Ventils i hin.
The device works as follows: The weights g or the weight of the float, if this is connected to the levers c, act to keep the valve i open. However, if the fuel level in the housing rises above the intended height, the buoyancy of the float c is so great that the weights g are raised and, accordingly, the needle d is moved down and the valve closes. This happens against the buoyancy of the swimmer k, which descends with the needle d . With a heavier fuel, however, this buoyancy is greater, so that the effect is similar to placing additional weights on the float c. On the other hand, with a lighter fuel, the buoyancy of the float k is lower, so that an effect corresponding to the removal of additional weights from the float c results. Of course, the proportions of the two swimmers will have to be chosen correctly in order to achieve the intended effect. The weight ratios are expediently chosen so that the entire system is balanced so that mass effects have no influence on the fuel supply.
If the float c attacks the needle d directly to get a in the lid
To close the valve arranged in the housing, one naturally becomes the equalizing float
Let the transfer lever act on the needle. So it arises here
a reversal of the arrangement shown.
