Die gegenwärtig gebräuchlichen Raubthier-Fangeisen, sogen. Schwanenhälse, werden gespannt
mittelst einer lose eingelegten Stellschiene, welche aber nur an einen Bügel angreift. Beim sogen. Berliner Eisen ist die
Stellvorrichtung zwar fest am Eisen, greift aber nur an die Feder an. Beide Constructionen
gewähren keine absolute Fangsicherheit; ferner sind sie auch nicht handlich und nur mit Sachkenntnifs

wird gleichzeitig mittelst des übergreifenden Lappens / die Stange d gehoben und
kommt somit aufser. Eingriff mit der Stange J1.
Infolge dessen hört der Gegendruck auf die Haken b b auf, und die Federkraft von e treibt
die beiden Bügel α α gegen einander. Das Eisen schnellt dadurch zwar in die Höhe, bewegt
sich aber im Uebrigen nicht von seinem Platz, und es mufs infolge dessen das Raubthier,
