Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cannula protection device for hypodermic syringes or after use, according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such a cannula protection device is known from US-PS 28 47 995. The protective sheath of the cannula consists of a protective hose which projects above the cannula ( Fig. 1-4), with the syringe head and its cannula being pierced through the stopper of a storage container for the purpose of withdrawing solution for injection and thereby also piercing the protective hose. However, it follows that an injection syringe with such a protective tube, which can be easily pierced by the cannula, does not provide any protection against unintentional injury. The same applies to the second embodiment according to Fig. 5-7 of said US-PS 28 47 995, in which although the protective jacket has a top end, which is also not puncture-proof because it is pushed back when using the syringe on the cannula , whereby the protective jacket lies in waves. In this spray position, the collapsed protective jacket is held by the frictional engagement between the wall of the piercing opening of the end part and the cannula; after use of the syringe, the protective jacket can be stretched again and its end part can be moved back to the protective position in which the cannula is enveloped by the protective jacket. You can still injure yourself with the used cannula because the end part is not puncture-resistant.
The invention has for its object the generic Design the cannula protection device in such a way that stab wounds with hypodermic syringes, for the protection of which the device is used, are practically excluded. This is of particular importance treatment of patients suffering from a highly infectious serious illness, e.g. B. AIDS, and here is the sick house staff, especially the doctors and nurses, exposed to increased dangers.
According to the task at a generic according cannula protection device solved by the head side end part is puncture-resistant and for Push the cannula through a cannula guide channel points and that in the second protective position the cannula tip between the wall of the cannula guide channel and the inner wall the end part is caught.
Advantageous further developments are in the subclaims 2 to 14 specified.
The advantages that can be achieved with the invention are above all in it to see the cannula protector before, during and after use the cannula works. The cannula is used before the cannula is used protective device as a sterile transport container. If the Cannula with a syringe barrel or a supply hose is coupled and the injection is to be made needs only the end part to be pushed back over the cannula, until it is at the level of the thimble-like holding body of the cannula over the accordion-like protective jacket is locked. There is a sufficient length the cannula is exposed. When the injection process is finished, it can also be a longer-lasting infusion, then hold the end part against your thumb and index finger the appropriate puncture area of the patient and pulls the Cannula back, with the protective jacket stretching and where on At the end of this movement, the tip of the cannula out of the cannula guide channel slides out inside the end part and in this Moment is laterally deflected so that the cannula tip is then - Also taking into account a certain elasticity of the Protective jacket - in a niche between the cannula guide channel and the inner wall of the end part is deflected. An essential one Another advantage is that the collapsed protective jacket air in it compresses and the protective jacket still can not expand, because in the spray position of the end part of it locked with its wave bellies is prevented. Only after the injection has ended The cannula is pulled out, the end cap is together with the protective jacket due to the existing compression pressure driven beyond the tip of the cannula, so that then too the cannula tip slides out of its cannula guide channel, whereby then a certain spring back of the protective jacket occurs, which now the cannula tip with lateral deflection in drives the desired niche for the purpose of puncture-proof storage.
Darin zeigen in vereinfachter, teils schema tischer Darstellung:Further features and advantages of the subject matter of the invention result from the following description of some executions Rungsbeispiele, based on the drawing are explained. Fig. 9 shows a third embodiment of a KS-Einrich device according to the invention with a protective jacket, which is slipped in the area of the cannula holding body and forms a longitudinally widening ring bead upon longitudinal displacement of the end part on the cannula.
Fig. 3) eines Spritzenzylinders 12 auf. The KS device according to FIGS. 1 to 3 serves to protect the cannula or injection syringe hollow needle 1 , which, as usual, is gripped in a thimble-like holding body 10 on the beveled piercing tip 1 a facing end 1 b . The latter has a cavity 10.1 for sealingly receiving the coupling extension 11 (cf. FIG. 3) of a syringe barrel 12 which can be inserted into the cavity. The injection syringe as Gan zes, which also includes a piston 13 with piston rod 13.1 , is designated by 14 . Instead of the syringe barrel 11 , a supply hose (not shown), which is provided with an adapter corresponding to the coupling extension, could be coupled to the holding body 10 of the cannula 1 , e.g. B. if it is a long-term infusion.
The holding body 10 further includes: a shell wall 10.2 with flange 10.3 foot of the table, and a head-side reinforced end 10.4, which surrounds the end of the cannula 1 b-sealing, eg. B. is cast around this or overmolded, the inner cannula channel 1 c remains free.
The KS device KS 1 consists of a tubular protective sheath 2.1 and a puncture-resistant end part 2.2 connected to the tip of the protective sheath, which form a hollow body 2 , which in protective position I according to FIG. 1 envelops the cannula 1 in a transport-safe manner. The protective sheath 2.1 is in this example as a preferably transparent or translucent plastic tube, which can be pushed together like a concertina from position I ( Fig. 2) and stretched again ( Fig. 3). A suitable material for the protective jacket is z. B. a silicone elastomer (short name: SIR) into consideration, also known under the name silicone rubber. This material is suitable for hot air or steam sterilization up to 250 ° C. Other silicone elastomers that do not have such a high temperature resistance can be used for disposable syringes. The protective jacket 2.1 is reinforced at both ends 2.1 a and 2.1 b in the form of a neck part, and the right neck part shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 (end 2.1 b) sits sealingly on the outer circumference of the wall 10.2 of the holding body 10 . This seat can also be secured and sealed by gluing or thermoplastic welding (if the parts 10 and 2.1 are made of thermoplastic plastic that can be welded or fused together). The same applies to the connection of the other reinforced end 2.1 a with the inner wall of the end part 2.2 . According to an essential feature of the invention, this head-end part 2.2 , as mentioned, is designed to be puncture-proof. So that it can be pushed back and forth on the cannula 1 , it has a cannula guide channel 4 , in which, in the protective position I ( FIG. 1), the cannula 1 is only immersed to approximately half its length. As it is explained in more detail below, in this way the KS device from protective position I ( FIG. 1) by moving the end part 2.2 and the protective jacket 2.1 on the cannula shaft in the spraying position or ready-to-spray position II ( FIG. 2) are relocated, in which the closing part 2.2 partially overlaps the concertina-like protective sleeve 2.1 pushed together to form a hose shaft package and clamps it on the holding body 10 . So that the compression pressure does not become too great, depending on the size of the volume enclosed by the stretched protective sheath 2.1 , it may be advisable to provide an equalizing volume in the form of one or more larger hose bladders 2.3 , the wall thickness of which is somewhat thinner than that of the remaining protective sheath 2.1 . The cannula 1 is sealingly and precisely guided on the wall of the cannula guide channel 4 in the manner of a stuffing box; the compression pressure inside the end part 2.2 can therefore not or only slightly decrease. The cannula 1 is available for the puncturing process. After the end of the injection or infusion process, the closing part 2.2 is held in place and the cannula 1 is pulled out of the injection site by gripping the holding body 10 . The Rückstellbe movement of the end part 2.2 and the protective jacket is supported by the inherent elasticity of the protective jacket 2.1 and the compression pressure, the end part 2.2 is a little bit above the cannula tip 1 a , whereby - as it is explained - eccentric or lateral forces act on the end part 2.2 , which put the end part 2.2 crooked with respect to the cannula axis, so that the cannula when the elastic protective jacket 2.1 springs back with its tip 1 a into a recess between the wall of the cannula guide channel 4 and the inner wall of the end part 2.2 ( see Fig. 3) arrives and is caught in this second protective position II. The KS-Einrich device KS 1 can - as a disposable item - now be safely thrown away with the other parts of the hypodermic syringe 14 ( Fig. 3); an injury is excluded, even if someone accidentally touches it by reaching into a trash can or the like.
The puncture-resistant end part 2.2 is preferably cap-shaped or hat-shaped with a bottom wall 2.4 and a jacket wall 2.5 and with the cannula guide channel 4 penetrating the bottom wall 2.4 . The jacket wall 2.5 has at its open end a conically widening ring collar 2.6 , which facilitates slipping over the hose shaft package ( FIG. 2). Preferably, the cannula guide channel 4 is formed or limited by a precisely fitting guide tube 4.1 , which extends from the bottom wall 2.4 of the end part 2.2 into its interior 2.0 , so that between the guide tube 4.1 and the inner circumference of the end part 2.2 an annular niche space for locking animals the cannula lens tip 1 a ( Fig. 3) which is diagonally immersed in this niche space is limited.
According to Fig. 4 for improving the sterile handling, the cannula guide channel of the end part through egg 2.2 NEN 4 can be closed from the outside insertable closure plug 6. The sealing plug 6 and its seating surfaces 4.11 in the guide channel 4 expediently taper slightly from the outside inwards. This makes it easier for the sealing plug 6 when the end part 2.2 is moved from the protective position I ( FIG. 1) to the injection position ( FIG. 2) through the cannula guide channel 4 penetrating tip 1 a - as desired - can be pushed out. The cavity 10.1 of the holding body 10 could be closed by a sealing plug according to the outside, which extends so far outwards that it could be removed by hand immediately before use of the cannula.
The end part 2.2 is made according to one embodiment from a harder plastic than the protective jacket 2.1 . When using silicone elastomers (SIR), the so-called Shore hardness is due to the proportion of fillers, e.g. B. silica, controllable during production. The integral connection of the harder end part 2.2 (higher content of fillers) with the softer protective sheath 2.1 is nevertheless possible because the basic structure of the silicone elastomer is retained. If you make the simpler production because of the end part 2.2 and protective jacket 2.1 in one piece from identical plastic, then the wall thickness of the bottom wall and, if necessary, the wall wall 2.5 of the end part 2.2 is reinforced to achieve the puncture resistance, as the part representation of Fig . 5 shows. This variant of the KS device is marked with KS 11 be. At the same time it is shown in this figure that to support the latching (see Fig. 2) on the inner circumference of the closing part 2.2 , outside of the interior 2.0 , around running grooves 2.7 , into which the swelling 2.8 of the collapsed protective jacket 2.1 ( Fig. 2) can snap into the "spray position". According to a somewhat modified embodiment of the KS device KS 11 according to FIG. 5, the groove section 2.7 having the grooves of the end part 2.2 in the form of a plurality of locking legs distributed over the circumference, for. B. with six or eight locking legs, ausgebil det, which has the advantage that even with greater wall thickness, the locking leg can be formed sufficiently flexible with a sufficiently long spring away, so the manual forces required for locking and unlocking can be dimensioned optimally. This measure can also be used at least partially in the implementation, which is shown in Fig. 1 to 3 (KS 1 ) by providing the jacket wall with axial slots, which the ring collar 2.6 and a piece of the adjacent jacket wall 2.5 in individual Divide locking tabs. These latching tongues may extend with the bottom 2.9 of their slots, not shown in more detail, at most up to the protective jacket 2.1 on the inner circumference of the end part 2.2 , that is to say to the neckline 2.50 ( FIG. 5) or to the neck part 2.1 a ( FIG. 1), so that the hollow body 2 in Schutzpo position I ( Fig. 1) and in the injection position according to Fig. 2 remains tight. The neck approach 2.50 has an approximately fin-shaped cross section and serves as a transition from the thicker jacket wall 2.5 to the thinner protective jacket 2.1 .
In order for the cannula tip 1 a to reach the protective position II according to FIG. 3 in any case and automatically (automatically) when the protective jacket 2.1 is stretched, starting from the injection position according to FIG. 2, the KS 1 design according to FIG. 1 up to 3 means e , 4.10 are provided, by means of which forces acting laterally on the cannula tip 1 a (transverse to the cannula axis 1 c) can be exerted, which the cannula tip 1 a has after sliding out of the cannula guide channel 4 laterally (eccentrically) and axially in the outside of the cannula guide channel 4 located interior 2.0 , in a ring-shaped niche space, press the end part 2.2 . The axis of the guide tube 4.1 , which coincides with the axis 1 c of the cannula 1 in its position I ( Fig. 1) and III ( Fig. 2), is shifted by the eccentricity e with respect to a central axis 4.1 'of the end part 2.2 . The eccentricity e need only be tenths of mm, e.g. B. 0.2 to 0.5 mm. It is also expedient to provide the wall of the guide tube 4.1 at its free end with a conical point 4.10 . As you can see, the cannula 1 , when it leaves the guide tube 4.1 , can no longer get into this, because the tube has moved eccentrically to the cannula lenachse 1 c , and when springing back the end part 2.2 - the protective jacket 2.1 can Eject air through the open guide tube 4.1 and contract a little resiliently from its greatest extension - the needle tip 1 a inevitably gets into the annular niche space 2.01 , which is facilitated by the conical point. To increase the eccentricity e , the protective jacket 2.1 in its relaxed state ( FIG. 3) can be given a slight curvature, as indicated by the dashed lines 2.1 ' in FIG. 5.
I in Pos. III in Pos. II (Fig. 3) gelangen. If the cannula 1 or cannula tip 1 a is caught in the niche space 2.01 ( FIG. 3), then it cannot involuntarily return to the guide channel 4 . However, arbitrary reintroduction is also very difficult without special tools. This is confirmed by the following attempt: Insert a longer needle through a tennis ball on a diameter and pull the needle back out of the second hole into the inside of the tennis ball. Now finding the second hole with the needle is extremely difficult. This effect is strengthened in the KS device according to the invention, because between the cannula 1 and the guide channel 4 or the guide tube 4.1 there is a tight, precise stuffing book fit. - In Fig. 1 to 3, the arrow f 1 indicates the direction of displacement of the end part 2.2 and protective jacket 2.1 along the cannula 1 when they are pushed together from item I in item III, the opposite arrow f 2 indicates the direction the return movement of the end part 2.2 and protective jacket 2.1 when they move along the cannula 1 from item III to item II ( FIG. 3).
The exemplary embodiment of the KS device KS 2 according to FIGS. 6 to 8 differs from the versions KS 1 and KS 11 according to FIGS. 1-5 essentially in that the means for the defined displacement of the cannula tip 1 a in the niche space 2.01 comprise a spring tongue 5 extending from the inner periphery of the end part 2.2 obliquely into the interior of which 2.0 extends at an angle a and is penetrated in a manner adapted to the cannula 1 eccentric hole 5.1 under spring tension from the cannula 1, see Pos. I and III in FIGS. 6 and 7, so that the released during extension of the protective jacket 2.1 from the cannula guide channel 4 cannula tip 1 a is displaced from the now relaxing spring tongue 5 in the eccentric two te protecting position II (Fig. 8). The spring tongue 5 is expediently made of the same plastic as from the closing part 2.2 and is molded onto it, its foot is thickened in particular to improve the spring action ( 5.2 ).
I in Pos. In the embodiment KS 3 of FIG. 9, the Schutzman tel 3 with its attachment to the holding body 10 serving neck part 3 b turned inside, so that when the end part 2.2 is moved on the cannula 1 according to arrow f 1 , that is, from item I in Pos. III, an over the syringe barrel 12 (or via a feed hose, not shown) Stül pende bead 3.1 (shown in dashed lines) is formed. For a firmer fit of the neck part 3 b on the jacket wall 10.2 of the holding body, the neck part 3 b can be provided with reinforcing beads 3.2 or the jacket wall 10.2 can have corresponding ring beads 10.4 on its outer circumference. 3 a denotes the neck part of the protective jacket 3 which has grown to the end part 2.2 . Instead of the tubular Ge shown for the protective jacket 2.1 or 3 could in principle also a telescopic structure, consisting of pushed into each other tubes of different diameters, may be provided (not shown), although the tubular structure is given preference.
