Die in dem Folgenden beschriebene Abschneidevorrichtung ist gleich den unter
No. 34202 patentirten Vorrichtungen hauptsächlich für sogen. »Wilcox- und Gibbs-Nähmaschinen«
bestimmt.The cutting device described in the following is the same as the one below

certainly.
In der beiliegenden Zeichnung sind der Kopf, die Platte und die Hauptwelle als die in
Betracht kommenden Theile einer solchen Maschine gezeichnet. Am Kopf der Maschine ist
bei α ein Arm A unwandelbar mittelst Schrauben a1 und auf A das Messer M in der
Höhenrichtung verstellbar mittelst der Flügelmutter m befestigt. Die Verstellbarkeit von
M auf A wird durch die Anbringung eines Langschlitzes s in A erreicht. Ein zweites
Messer M1, welches federnd gegen M gedrückt wird, ist an dem Ende eines im Punkte 0
drehbar bezw. beweglich gelagerten Hebels H befestigt. Die Feder F hat das Bestreben,

Kopf tragende feste Arm. Um das Messer M1 federnd gegen M zu pressen, hat der Hebel
H auf dem Bolzen bei ο etwas Spielraum in der Richtung nach dem Messer M. Gegen
