Abstract

The suitcase has travel rollers at one corner and a handle at the diagonally-opposite one, the latter folding away when not required. The handle (1) comprises a stirrup (2) whose clear width corresponds to that of a hand, whose foot (3) is mounted in a hinge (4). The handle fits in a recess (5) in the suitcase and flush with the surface (x-x) of the latter when not in use. It is mounted off-centre on the foot, which is attached to one of the suitcase halves (6,7), extending over their surfaces (8,9) at right angles to the joint (y-y) between them. Each half contains part of the recess for the handle.
