Abstract

Three parallel rollers (10,11,12) are used to transfer lacquer from a liquid bath (13) to the cylinder (40) of a printing machine. An applicator roller (10) and a transfer roller (11) each with it are carried by a frame (20), which is adjusted horizontally towards and away from the cylinder. Underneath them, a wetting roller (12) carried by swinging arms (14) transfers lacquer from the bath to the transfer roller. The frame is adjusted by a drive acting on an eccentric spindle (21) in a slot in the frame. The lacquer is supplied from anoverhead tank (13C) through a line (13B) to an auxiliary tank (13A) behind the bath.
