Abstract

The refrigerated container door comprises a rigid outer plate and sheet-metal cladding forming the inner surface. Plastics material profiled members fit round the plate edges and join it and the cladding together, the intervening space being filled with insulating foam material. The sheet-metal of the cladding is bent over at the edges to extend into the narrow sides (2) of the door, adjacent edges at a corner being welded together to form a dished portion (7), which is joined to the profiled member (4).
