Description

Process for the extraction of salts by the action of concentrated Solutions "of different salts on top of each other. One can get salts in solid form thereby win by bringing them together with solutions of another salt which, without causing a chemical reaction, acts salting out, It is known that from concentrated sodium chloride solutions through concentrated calcium chloride solutions, Magnesium chlorine (e.g. final lyes from the potassium chlorine production) table salt on cold Ways is failed. The process described gives more voluminous salt Consistency and uniform grain, which is to be used as table salt and by mixing with raw, ground rock salt, the latter is loosened causes. You can also, for example, a chloride solution and a sulfate solution on top of each other let it work, z. B. sodium chloride and magnesium sulfate.

The action of the salt solutions, e.g. B. chlorine magnesium or calcium chloride on sodium chloride solutions, so far has been done in such a way that the solutions are directly gave to each other. In this way, small, uniform, individual grains are obtained Size and quality probably depends on the type of mixing of the solutions and is influenced by this, but cannot be regulated at will. The present The purpose of the method is to regulate the grain size of the precipitated salt, e.g. B. of sodium chloride, so that you can get larger or smaller grains at will. The won Salt can have the same properties as the table salt obtained in vacuum salt factories to have. The procedure consists in that one of the saturated solutions of each other acting salts of common salt on the one hand and chlorine magnesium (chlorine calcium, final lye o. the like) on the other hand into compartments separated by a porous partition and the solutions come together through the permeable or semi-permeable septum leaves. An animal membrane, porous clay cells or the like can be used as a partition use. Depending on degree of permeability of a partition it is possible to differ get large grains of salt. The procedure can be at ordinary temperature or also in the heat at ordinary atmospheric pressure or at reduced or increased Printing. One can, for example, the one department under diminished or put increased pressure.
