Abstract

In the case of a projectile having one or more submunitions (7), the projectile case (6) is closed by a base part (8). Description

The invention relates to a projectile with one or more Submunitions in a shell, through a bottom part is complete, with a separating charge between the Bottom part and a submunition covering Intermediate floor is arranged, which repels the bottom part, before an ejection charge the submunition and the Slides the intermediate floor out of the shell.

An igniter ( 2 ), a delay set ( 3 ), an ejection charge ( 4 ) and an ejection plate ( 5 ) are arranged in a head part ( 1 ) of a projectile. Submunitions ( 7 ) are provided in a projectile casing ( 6 ) adjoining the head part ( 1 ).

A base part ( 8 ) closes off the shell ( 6 ). A parachute cartridge ( 9 ) of the rear submunition ( 7 ) protrudes into the bottom part ( 8 ). This is covered with an intermediate floor ( 10 ) which is designed as a pressure plate. Between the intermediate floor ( 10 ) and the floor part ( 8 ) there is a pressure chamber ( 11 ) in which a separating charge ( 12 ) is arranged. The separating charge ( 12 ) is connected to the igniter ( 2 ) via an ignition transmission hose ( 13 ).

Brake elements ( 14 ) formed by spring steel sheets are arranged on the intermediate floor ( 10 ). These have locking lugs ( 15 ) at their free ends. In the starting position, the braking elements ( 14 ) are folded sideways onto the parachute cassette ( 9 ). They are held in this position by support segments ( 16 ) which are supported radially in the projectile casing ( 6 ) and overlap the locking lugs ( 15 ).

The base part ( 8 ) engages with an edge ( 17 ) in the area between the projectile casing ( 6 ) and the folded-down brake elements ( 14 ). The edge ( 17 ) bears on the support segments ( 16 ).

The way it works is as follows:

When the igniter ( 2 ) responds, the separating charge ( 12 ) is ignited via the ignition transmission hose ( 13 ). This pushes the bottom part ( 8 ) backwards. The intermediate floor ( 10 ) remains on the parachute cassette ( 9 ). It is held on the brake elements ( 14 ), the locking lugs ( 15 ) of which are blocked by the support segments ( 16 ) in the shell ( 6 ) (see. Fig. 1, 2).

After the bottom part ( 8 ) has been pushed off, the ejection charge ( 4 ) is ignited via the delay set ( 3 ), which uses the ejection plate ( 5 ) to submunition ( 7 ) in the direction of arrow ( A ) (see. Fig. 3) from Projectile casing ( 6 ) pushes. The support segments ( 16 ) are also pushed so that they become free when leaving the projectile casing ( 6 ) and fly away in the direction of the arrows ( R ). The braking elements ( 14 ) are now free and open in the direction of the arrows ( P ) (see FIG. 3) so that they exert a braking effect on the intermediate floor ( 10 ). This releases from the parachute cassette ( 9 ) and an extension line ( 18 ) attached to it pulls a parachute, not shown, out of the parachute cassette ( 9 ).

Projectile according to claim 1, characterized in that the brake elements ( 14 ) are held in their position on the parachute cartridge ( 9 ) in the projectile case ( 6 ) by support segments ( 16 ) which are supported radially in the projectile case ( 6 ) , which are pushed out of the projectile casing ( 6 ) with the submunition ( 7 ) and which release the brake elements ( 14 ). 3. Projectile according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the base part ( 8 ) engages with an edge ( 17 ) between the brake elements ( 14 ) folded onto the parachute cartridge ( 9 ) and the projectile casing ( 6 ). 4. Projectile according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the braking elements ( 14 ) have locking lugs ( 15 ) which are overlapped by the support segments ( 16 ). 5. Projectile according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the braking elements ( 14 ) are formed by spring steel sheets.
