Abstract

The invention 1. facilitates the surgical manipulation of osteosynthesis and reconstruction plates in the surgical treatment of fractures, in orthodontic operations and in the surgical treatment of craniofacial anomalies, 2. leads to a better retention and friction between plate and fracture ends and thus greater stability of the fracture, 3. reduces the risk of loosening of the plates and thus the danger of delayed wound healing. This is essentially achieved by the underside of a plate which faces the bone being provided with spherical knobs so that the best possible adaptation between the plate and the macrorelief of the bone is achieved. This makes it possible to reduce intricate and time-consuming adaption of the plate to the surface of the bone to a minimum.

Skizze 1a-d), dienen der funktionsstabilen anatomischen Fixierung von Knochenfragmenten nach Frakturen, z. Umständliches und zeitraubendes Anpassen herkömmlicher Osteosynthese­ platten mit planer knochenseitiger Unterseite lassen sich auf ein Minimum reduzieren und die Narkosedauer läßt sich dadurch verkürzen. Die Gefahr der Plattenlockerung, die mit lokaler Infektion, Ver­ änderung im Bereich der Weichteile und der Operationsnarbe und im ungünstigsten Fall mit Fistelbildung und Auftreten von Dehiszenzen einhergehen, läßt sich durch die noppenförmige Bauweise günstig beein­ flussen. Die Noppen, die im günstigen Fall in die Tiefe des Makro­ reliefs des Knochens eingreifen, führen zur erhöhten Retention zwi­ schen Platte und Bruchenden, dadurch zur verbesserten Stabilisation der Bruchenden (s. Abb. 1-6). Das Risiko von Pseudoarthrosen und Wundheilungsstörungen können damit günstig beeinflußt werden. Claims (1)

Osteosyntheseplatte bzw. Rekonstruktionsplatte zur anatomischen Reposition von Knochenfragmenten nach Knochenbrüchen und Osteotomien, zur Stabilisierung von Knochenfragmenten bei der chirurgischen Be­ handlung von craniofacialen Anomalien, Malokklusionen und Rekonstrukti­ onen nach Tumorresektionen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Osteosyntheseplatten bzw.
