Bekanntlich besteht bei Drehkondensatoren einerseits der Wunsch, möglichst große Kapazitäten zu erreichen, während man anderseits die mechanische Größe der Kondensatoren so klein wie möglich zu halten wünscht. Aus diesen beiden Gesichtspunkten ergibt sich als Folge, daß der Luftabstand zwischen den festen und be-"veglichen Platten so gering als möglich zu wählen ist. Häufig betragen diese Abstände nur wenige Zehntel eines Millimeters. Infolgedessen tritt durch allmähliche Abnutzung der Achsenlager oder auch durch Verziehen der Platten, häufig auch durch Stoß eine Berührung zwischen den festen und beweglichen Platten und hiermit Kurzschluß des Kondensators ein.Electric rotary condenser X. Zugleich ergibt sich eine erhöhte Sicherheit gegen den Durchschlag des Kondensators, so daß er z.
