Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method according to the General term of the 1st claim. Crankshafts for smaller ones Piston engines, especially petrol and diesel engines often made in one piece from cast or drop-forged; the pins are then machined and finally hardened. Because this work on the otherwise they are finished workpiece relatively expensive. Crankshafts for larger engines are built from individual parts, however, as under Consideration of the manufacturing possibilities To be available; typical solutions are shown in DE-B-16 25 579, where the dividing line between the individual parts through the Cheeks runs and DE-B-20 23 364 where the tenons are split are. The individual parts are consistently welded connected with each other; this applies even if the Crankshaft made up of pressed sheet metal parts should be (DE-C-4 98 170). The skilled person is also known (DE-C-8 48 728) that the crankshaft is hollow to save weight can be performed and on tenons and cheeks respectively different materials can be taken, each of which the specific, different loads better has grown to which these components are exposed. From the DE-A-19 22 488 is the use of an improvement of the Adhesion between those by electron beam welding interconnected individual parts serving intermediate layer known. DE-A-19 51 097 shows that before assembly of the Individual parts on one of them (here the bearing pin) finished drive element (here a gear) pushed on and can be attached. The skilled person can use the same font also take the suggestion, the individual parts to the separator Form surfaces so that they are interlocked before welding can be pushed to provide assembly assistance.
To connect the crankshaft to the pistons are consistently split connecting rods, which are also proportional are complex to manufacture and require special attention during assembly require a perfect concentricity of the Ensure cones; especially if instead of plain bearings frequently used at this point should be used. Fastening pipes in Drilling other parts by expanding the former is from the Heat exchanger construction known, both mechanical and hydraulic expansion devices are used.
The object of the present invention is an inexpensive one Process for the production of assembled crankshafts which materials can be selected for the individual parts, the expected different, specific Loads are particularly adapted. The items should be finished before joining, so that except for one Straightening and fine balancing no post-processing is required. Those produced by means of the method according to the invention Crankshafts are said to have easier to install lubrication channels be provided and if necessary also good emergency running properties exhibit. By the same with the production accompanying installation of drive elements such as bearings and Conrods should be simplified and in theirs at the same time Running properties can be improved.
This problem is solved by the in the characteristic Part of the 1st claim specified steps. Through the elastic deformation of the cheeks spring them after the end Widening process back on the pegs, creating a connection is created that also the high moments to be transmitted withstands. A material or positive connection is then usually no longer required.
The expansion process requires the choice to be relatively ductile Materials for the cones. These can be done in a conventional manner undergo subsequent surface hardening, however a procedure according to claim 2 appears more advantageous. For The bushings can then be one with regard to its bearings properties, e.g. B. selected its hardness optimized material will. The expansion of the cones is carried out so that the bearing bushes fixed in their position, but none or undergo only slight elastic deformations.
Corresponding to the configuration proposed in the third claim the invention can be undivided rolling bearings before joining be applied to the cones. Since joining without Exposure to heat and without that even with advanced Welding process risk of not being completely eliminated Ejection of material from the welding point expires the bearings are not endangered.
According to the proposal made in claim 4, if necessary at the same time as the roller bearings proposed above undivided connecting rods are pushed onto the pins. Since the crankshafts produced by the method according to the invention are so far improved that their lifespan is no longer the limiting factor for the durability of the whole machine represents the lack of repairability Disassembling the connecting rods can be dispensed with.
B. Kupfer verwendet. The proposed material in the 5th claim for the Bearing bushes guarantees a when using plain bearings uniform, easy to dose lubrication of the bearing surfaces. The Sintered material also offers according to the 6th claim Possibility to add certain amounts of a solid lubricant save the if the actual oil supply fails Store certain emergency running properties conveyed. After a further embodiment of the invention according to claim 8 one between the surfaces of the pins and cheeks to be joined Sealant layer can be provided to the expediently as continuous grooves of lubricating oil channels to the ends to seal. According to a further embodiment of this method the 9th claim is a sealing layer made of soft metal, for. B. Copper used.
In a variant of the method defined in claim 10 the cones are expanded over their entire length and the Bearing bushes also elastically deformed. It will be a particularly close bond between the bearing bushes and the journal reached. In a modification of this method according to the 11th Claim is made by pressing the bearing bushes into the provided holes in the cheeks a preliminary, as Assembly aid serving connection created by the subsequent expansion of the pin is detached.
This type of procedure is less suitable for bearing bushes relatively hard and brittle material, because of that Surface with elastic expansion tends to crack. The variant according to the 12th claim lends itself to this, after which only those parts of the bearing bushes are widened that protrude into the holes in the cheeks and their Surface is therefore not required as storage space. These Area could e.g. B. in the previous hardening of Bearing bushes can be left out. The use of with frets provided bushings according to the 13th claim creates both a stop when inserting into the holes in the cheeks and also stiffens them so that the effects of elastic deformation at the ends not the middle, Communicate the part used as a warehouse.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt, und zwarAn embodiment of the invention is in the drawing shown, namely
Fig. 1 ausschnittsweise im Längsaxialschnitt, Fig. 1 fragmentary, longitudinal,
Fig. 2 in einem Ausschnitt aus der Fig. 1 in vergrößertem Maßstab und Fig. 2 in a detail from FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale and
Fig. 3 einen anderen Ausschnitt im Längsaxialschnitt. Fig. 3 shows another section in the longitudinal axial section.
The crankshaft consists of a number of cheeks 1 , which are optimized in terms of their structural design and the material so that the most favorable ratio of weight to bending stiffness is achieved. The cheeks 1 are provided with bores into which the bearing pins 2 made of a particularly ductile material are inserted with little play. Subsequently, they are expanded with the aid of a partially broken-open probe 3 , which is supplied with pressure fluid via a channel 31 , which emerges in expansion regions delimited by seals 32 and plastically deforms the bearing pins 2 , but the adjacent parts of the cheeks 1 are only elastic. Before joining 2 bearing bushes 4 from a particularly suitable, z. B. hardened material has been applied. The bearing bushes 4 (see FIG. 3) can be made of a porous sintered material which can be impregnated with solid lubricant. In any case, there is an adequate supply of lubricant via bores 11 in the cheeks 1 (which are to be carried out without difficulty prior to assembly) and lubrication channels 21 in the bearing journals 2 , which for the sake of simplicity can have the form of milled grooves. Also before assembly, two undivided connecting rods 5 have been pushed onto the journals. The bearings that take over the mediation of the movement between the two parts can be designed as slide bearings 6 or roller bearings 7 , both of which were also applied to the latter before the cheeks 1 and the journal 2 were joined together. As an assembly aid before the expansion, the (possibly) thinner ends of the bearing bushes 4 may have been inserted into the holes in the cheeks 1 , but here with a press fit. So that the elastic deformation of the bearing bushes 4 caused by the widening of the pins is limited only to the tapered part 42 , reinforcements in the form of collars 41 can also be provided. Between the cheeks 1 and the pin 2 , a sealing layer 8 , z. B. made of copper, rubber or plastic, which seals this connection against the lubrication channels 11 , 21 .
