Description
Schleppwalzwerk. Im Gegensatz zu den älteren Schleppwalzen, welche direkt auf der angetriebenen Walze laufen und dann bei Einführung des Walzgutes anspringen, werden neuerdings die Schleppwalzen in geschlossenen Lagern g ehalten und bei Leerlauf durch einen Antrieb in Gang gehalten. Die bisher dafür bekannt gewordenen Hilfsantriebe sind entweder umständlich oder zeigen einen Seitenverschleiß, welcher es nicht gestattet, die Kaliber dauernd in genau lotrechter Lage übereinander zu halten. Diesen Mängeln hilft die vorliegende Erfindung dadurch ab, daß z. B. die angetriebene Walze von einem oder mehreren elastisc4en Ringen umspannt wird, welche durch Reibung die Schleppwalze mitnehmen. In Abb. I ist die Erfindung im Aufriß dargestellt. Die angetriebene Walze TV wird von einem oder mehreren elastischen Ringen R umspannt, welche die Schleppwalze S im Leerlauf mitnehmen. Die Oberwalze kann seitlich und infolge der Elastizität der Ringe R entsprechend dem Kaliherverschleiß auch lotrecht verstellt werden. Damit die Ringe R nicht leiden, gibt man der Schleppwaize zweckmäßig Kugel- oder Rollenlager. AL-b. z zeigt eine Ausführungsform der Ringe R im Schnitt, wobei der elastische, z. B. Gummirin Z,G durch einen Schutzmantel L, z. r. aus Chromleder, geschützt ist. Durch Winkel 1I und Schrauben IN' wird das ganze zusammengehalten.Towing mill.
