Spätestens bei der Phase 8 gleiten die Späne auf der steilen Schaufelseite 9 in den Keilraum zwischen der Schaufelseite 9 und der Hüllfläche 10 nieder, wobei sie genauer gerichtet werden. Bei der Phase 11 bleiben die Späne momentan auf dem Hüllblech stehen, und die Schaufelkante 12 schiebt sie weiter vorwärts, bis sie auf den unter der Richtvorrichtung laufenden Späne­ förderer 3 niederfallen.
