Gemäß der Erfindung-wird dieser Nachteil dadurch vermieden, daß Selen nicht in einer Zelle, sondern in zerkleinertem Zustand in einem Kohärer beliebiger Form an Stelle der bisher für diese venvendeten Mischung untergebracht wird. Hierbei kann je nach der gewünschten Lichtempfindlichkeit Selen in reinem Zustand oder vermischt mit anderen Materialien Verwendung finden. Die Anordnung von Selen in einem Kohärer hat den Vorteil, daß durch eine Erschütterung desselben, die durch Rütteln, Klopfen usw. hervorgebracht werden kann, die kleinen Selenkörper aus ihrer Stellung verschoben und die Leitungsfähigkeit derselben nach Aufhören der Belichtung schneller unterbrochen wird.
