Aus der technischen Mitteilung "BIGFON" der Philips Kommunikations Industrie AG mit der Nummer 16 00 682/5 ist ein derartiger Bildfernsprecher bekannt. Der in Fig. 1 dargestellte Bildfernsprecher 1 weist einen Fernsprechapparat 2 und eine Bildwiedergabevorrichtung 3 mit einer eingebauten Kamera 4 auf. Der Fernsprechapparat 2 ist über ein Verbindungskabel 5 mit der Bildwiedergabeeinrichtung 3 verbunden und diese über eine Anschlußleitung 6 mit einer Vermittlungseinrichtung (nicht dargestellt). Die Bildwiedergabeeinrichtung 3 ist derart beschaffen, daß sie in einem großen Bild 7 ein kleines Bild 8 darstellen kann. Dabei wird beispielsweise das große Bild den Partner einer Verbindung mit einem anderen Bildfernsprecher darstellen und das kleine Bild 8 dient zur Eigenbildbetrachtung. Das heißt, alles was die eigene Kamera 4 aufgenommen hat, kann als kleines Bild 8 im großen Bild 7 wiedergegeben werden. Hierbei ist es wichtig, daß das kleine Bild so dargestellt wird wie ein Betrachter sich im Spiegel sieht. Dadurch wird erreicht, daß die Bewegungen des Betrachters in gewohnter Weise ablaufen. Ausdrücklich sei hier darauf hingewiesen, daß nur die Darstellung des kleinen Bildes 8 wie im Spiegel erfolgt.The video telephone 1 shown in Fig. 1 comprises a telephone 2 and an image reproducing device 3 with a built-in camera 4. An eine Verarbeitungseinheit 9, die mit der Anschlußleitung 6 verbunden ist, ist die Kamera 4 angeschlossen, die außerdem mit einem Speicher 10 in Verbindung steht. Die Verarbeitungseinheit 9 und der Speicher 10 sind mit einer Einblendungseinheit 12 zusammengeschaltet, die mit der Bildwiedergabeeinrichtung 3 verbunden ist.
