Die Erfindung betrifft eine aufblasbare Aussteifungsrippe für
einen Gleitschirm nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to an inflatable stiffening rib for
a paraglider according to the preamble of claim 1.
geben. Für eine gleichmäßige Druckverteilung im Gleitschirm
sorgen Druckausgleichsöffnungen in den Zell- und Zellzwischen
wänden (Buch von Walter K. Roösli, "Gleitschirmpraxis - Eine
Einführung in Theorie und Praxis des Gleitschirmfliegens",
Verlag RAE Marketing AG, CH-9011 St.Gallen, Erstauflage
Januar 87, Seite 69-70).
Magazin", Heft 6/87, Seite 19).It is known that a paraglider consists of several cells,
which is filled in flight over the leading edge by back pressure
and so the paraglider's wing-like shape
give. For an even pressure distribution in the paraglider
ensure pressure equalization openings in the cell and cell intermediate
walls (book by Walter K. Roösli, "Paragliding Practice - One
Introduction to the theory and practice of paragliding ",
Verlag RAE Marketing AG, CH-9011 St.Gallen, first edition
January 87, pages 69-70). Due to the construction of the glide
However, it is necessary that the leading edges in the
Always stay open around the paraglider with back pressure
to supply. During thermal flying or in the event of a fall
it can happen that the paraglider winds from above or
is flown in the direction of flight from behind, so that the glide
screen collapses in itself and no longer opens what with
fatal consequences (magazine "hang glider
Magazine ", Issue 6/87, page 19).
The invention has for its object in flight
Prevent the paraglider from folding and him
to give a better lift distribution at the same time.
This object is achieved in that at least
two cell walls replaced by inflatable stiffening ribs
will. These inflatable stiffening ribs are in place
the cell walls or cell partitions into the structure of the
Sewn in paraglider.
The advantages achieved with the invention are in particular

An embodiment of the invention is in the drawing
shown and is described in more detail below.
An air-impermeable fabric ( 1 ) is used as the starting material, which is also given a coating to make it pressure-tight. Several methods that are state of the art can be used for coating. This fabric ( 1 ) is cut depending on the size and shape of the paraglider. It is advisable to fold the fabric at the leading edge ( 2 ) to avoid a seam at this point. A safety valve ( 3 ) must be inserted before the stiffening rib is glued to the top and bottom or welded by vulcanization. As a valve, a version like inflatable boats and life jackets is used. This safety valve ( 3 ) is, if possible, glued in the area of the leading edge ( 2 ) to enable the profile to be easily inflated later in the finished paraglider. After installing the safety valve ( 3 ), the two rib sides are connected, each on the top and bottom of the rib ( 4 ). These pressure-tight adhesive seams ( 4 ) run from the leading edge to the end of the profile where the seams close and thus form a hollow body. The seams are laid according to aerodynamic criteria. The pressure equalization openings ( 5 ) are reached by an annular connection ( 6 ) of the two fabric halves. The pressure equalization openings ( 5 ) are then cut out within the annular connection. After the pressure tightness test has been carried out, the inflatable stiffening rib can be further processed into a paraglider cell and thus integrated into the paraglider.
