Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a photoelectric device for detecting the Position of a band edge or the like, one over rollers or the like running and guided tape, with one on one side of the tape extends, with one on the opposite side of the band about Photoelectric emp positioned in this way parallel to the light source catcher that the receiving light beam of the receiver from the band min can be partially shaded. Such a facility is already known.
Particular problems arise when measuring the position of the strip edge Rooms cleaned out with fluorescent lamps or gas discharge lamps be lit. For the illumination of workshops, the In recent years, gas discharge lamps, such as. B. Mercury steam lamps, used. When scanning bare or strong reflective tape materials are the stam from room lighting alternating light components partially detected by the measuring receivers, with evaluated and lead to incorrect measurements. A shield of the ab Touching areas on the tape is often very difficult or expensive easy to achieve.
Various environmental conditions such as fluctuations in the mains voltage and vice versa Exercise temperature and the aging of the light transmitter just influence if, in a very disruptive manner, the measurement result and thus the resultant process result. Even when not reflecting the edges the use of measuring systems is restricted, insofar as that a larger measuring distance from the tape has a larger detection area has the result of the measuring system and are in the background Likewise, materials that reflect room lighting falsify the measurement result.
The invention has for its object a measuring device to further develop the genus described above so that the space lighting resulting from the alternating light component in the measurement is eliminated and the measurement result of ambient temperature, mains voltage and aging independent becomes dependent.
This object is achieved in that the elongated light source a fluorescent lamp is that the fluorescent lamp with a change voltage is fed, whose frequency is above the mains frequency, and that another photoelectric receiver in the immediate vicinity of the Fluorescent lamp is arranged, the output signal via a change Light evaluation arrangement of a power supply device for the light is supplied as an actual value to the alternating light intensity of the Regulate fluorescent lamp to a constant value.
By combining the two aforementioned features, namely the Ver use of a fluorescent lamp and its operation with an alternating chip voltage above the network frequency is surprisingly that of Room lighting due to alternating light component switched off. Too too It is necessary to eliminate a relatively high proportion of extraneous light Lich, the alternating light component of the fluorescent lamp by pulse formation to enlarge the current. While the fluorescent lamp is fixed the photoelectric receiver can be relative to the fluorescent lamp be displaceable to the measuring device on the strip edge to be detected to be able to drive up.
Further developments of the invention can be found in the subclaims.
The invention is illustrated below with reference to one in a drawing presented embodiment described in more detail, from which further Details, features and advantages emerge.
The figure shows a semi-schematic representation of the arrangement of a measuring device and part of the associated electrical supply or evaluation devices for detecting the position of a strip edge. A fluorescent lamp 2 is positioned so that it extends to both sides of the band edge 10 of a band 9 . A photoelectric receiver 5 is arranged so that the beam of fluorescent lamp 2 directed to the photoelectric receiver 5 beam of rays through the band 9 , which projects with its band edge 10 into the beam, is partially shaded. The intensity of the received beam depends on the position of the band edge, so that an output signal dependent on it is obtained.
The fluorescent lamp is operated by means of a supply device 1 which generates an alternating voltage or a voltage containing a high alternating voltage component. In order to keep the alternating light component emitted by the fluorescent lamp 2 at a predetermined desired value, its actual value is recorded via a sensor 3 , another photoelectric receiver. By means of a transducer downstream of the band pass 11 , the disturbing light components in the output signal of the transducer are eliminated, so that only the pure useful light component (alternating light) remains, which is further supplied via a rectifier amplifier 12 to the supply device 1 . The supply device 1 works as a controller, which is also given a setpoint. The control deviation is used for the brightness control of the fluorescent lamp 2 .
The first receiver 5 is adjusted so that an output signal of 50% is obtained with half coverage. The measuring receiver then delivers an output signal, which is the shading and thus the strip edge position per portion and can be superimposed by the stray light. By means of a band pass 6 , which is connected downstream of the first receiver, the alternating light component of the external lighting is eliminated and only the higher-frequency useful alternating component is evaluated, the output signal resulting behind the bandpass filter being amplified and rectified via an amplifier 7 , so that an output 8 is present Signal is obtained that is dependent on the shadowing and thus the edge position.
The device works in the range from 0.2 to 5 kHz and is particularly optimal when the fluorescent lamp 2 is operated at a frequency in the range from 1 to 3 kHz, the emitted light having twice the frequency. The influence of stray light can be reduced up to a factor of 4000. In order to also eliminate high extraneous light components or to obtain the largest possible useful signal at the output 8 , it may be necessary to increase the alternating light component at the operating frequency of the fluorescent lamp 2 by electrical means. For this purpose, for example, a pulse generator operated at the operating frequency of the fluorescent lamp is fed in on the primary side of a transformer. On the secondary side of the transformer, the series connection of a C-link or RC-link is placed in series with the main connections of the fluorescent lamps. In this way, such a pulse formation can be achieved, which leads to a high proportion of alternating light from the fluorescent lamp. The alternating light portion can be a multiple of the equal light portion.
The arrangement above is used twice for center controls, as an alternative with only one fluorescent lamp, but with two measuring receivers.
Beispielsweise umfaßt der Bereich 800 mm bis 1000 mm.The band passes 6 and 11 are of identical design. Bandpasses 6 and 11 are preferably active filters with amplification. If a center control with two strip edge measuring devices is provided, the fluorescent lamp 2 expediently extends beyond the two strip edges transversely to the transport direction of the strip 9 . The first photoelectric receiver 5 may have an elongated reception area which is aligned parallel to the fluorescent lamp 2 and is smaller than its length. For example, the range is 800 mm to 1000 mm.
In addition to the first photoelectric receiver 5 , a third photoelectric receiver 4 is preferably arranged, which is located in the area between the fluorescent lamp 2 and the receiver 5 . With the receiver 4 , the pollution, smoke development and the like are detected.
The receiver 4 is followed by a second measurement signal evaluation arrangement, which has the same structure as the first measurement signal evaluation arrangement connected to the receiver 5 . The second measurement signal evaluation arrangement ent contains a bandpass filter 6 a which is followed by an amplifier 7 a . The outputs from the two measurement signal evaluation arrangements are each connected to an input of a differential amplifier 13 , at which a position of the band edge 10 corresponding signal is available. Since the difference between the two output signals of the receivers 4 , 5 is evaluated, z. B. Aging influences do not affect the result.
The alternating light evaluation arrangement detects the amplitudes and / or the frequency of the output signals of the receiver 3 . A sampling and holding amplifier can also be used for this, with which the amplitudes or the differences between the amplitudes and the signals are evaluated during the pulse pauses.
The arrangement described above can also be used to detect the passage a loop can be evaluated.
