Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the releasable connection of cord-shaped parts in general by attaching Fasteners on the cord ends and in particular a clasp for watch straps made of cord Starting material are formed. The invention also relates to the adjustability of such watch straps to make them work to be able to easily adjust the same length.
There are manifold connections or closures and their elements for from cord-shaped starting material formed watch bands known. Usually the Cord connecting elements, especially in the form of so-called named closures, attached, which is an easily detachable Allow connection. These are usually at the Cord ends clamped or clamped. Such Fastening is in its functionality from that used cord material depends and delivers only unbe peaceful results if an ela elastic material, such as rubber or a rubber elastic shear plastic, is used. Rubber or rubber term cords are not sufficient in a conventional manner ver with the locking or connecting elements bindable, so that such cords have so far been fashionable and / or inexpensive watches where you would like to achieve them special effects, would not have used to let.
The invention is primarily based on the object to provide a connection for the ends of cord-shaped material or a closure for watch straps formed from cord-shaped material, through which or even when using rubber-elastic material for the output cords a sufficiently secure attachment of the releasable Connection creating connecting elements is achieved at the cord ends. The invention is based on the further object to form a connection of this type so that a - if possible also by technical layman's - easy to use adjustability will create, which makes it possible to adjust the effective length of the bracelet comfortably.
The invention provides a solution to this problem special training at the two ends of the cord to be brought connecting elements according to the invention in addition to their easily releasable connection with each other of the enabling parts are channel-shaped or channel-shaped have open-sided recesses into which the ends of the Cord in one through the formation of the recesses can be inserted in the given manner. The gutter-shaped recess mungen that vorese in at least one connecting element hen, a labyrinthine or meandering, especially zigzag, spiral or serpentine Specify the insertion of a cord end. Possibly a simple 180 ° deflection can also be sufficient. Wich tig is that the channel-shaped or channel-shaped recess of the connecting element behind the insertion point of the Cord in the connector at least one related to the direction of pull of the cord at the insertion point in particular special sharp-edged bend of up to 90 ° and above owns. The recess can also be angled several times. The bend distance can be the cross-sectional dimensions of the Cord, especially its diameter, exceed. He is sufficient by such bends that the tensile force is essentially intercepted at the bend point and that only one in the direction of the angled gutter low component of the tensile force is effective, the one Deh ting and cross-section reduction of the cord. At every further bend in the longitudinal direction Cord effective component further reduced.
The channel or channel-shaped opening that is open on one side Take makes the cord-shaped end easy to insert piece to the body dimensions of the wearer of the watch fit length also possible by technical laymen. Especially their safeguards are of sufficient depth Recesses that incorporate the cross-sectional dimensions of the above the line, usually superfluous. However, you can advantageously use a cover for the gutters provide a shaped recess, which at the same time against protects against penetrating dirt. But you can also do that Side walls of the trough-shaped recess at least form hollowed-out hollows on parts of their length, see above that the cord end through a gap that is narrower than that Cord dimensions is pressed into the recess must become. You can achieve a similar effect if you the recesses at least over part of their length the open side provides adjacent projections. The The side walls of the recesses should have the same shape Cross-sectional dimensions of the cord to be adjusted and it is also an advantage, only one on the open side Leave gap, the width of which is less than the ge ring width is.

Fig. 4 weitere Abwandlungsmöglichkeiten. Fig. 4 further modification options.
The embodiment of FIG. 1 shows in wesent union a connecting element 11 which is arranged at the end of a cord 12 which is circular in cross section. The counterpart to the connecting element 11 is indicated at 13 and can be a corresponding to the connecting element 11 of the connecting element, which is arranged at the end of a cord; but it can also be a connector which is rigidly connected to, for example, a housing of an arm watch. Of importance is only in this case that the counter-piece 13 has a hook 131, opening to which the connecting element 11 with its connection can be hooked fourteenth
The drawing shows a view of the underside of the connecting element 11 . There is a multiple angled groove 15 in which the end 121 of the cord 12 is placed. The groove 15 leads on the input side 111 of the connecting element under a bridge 112 through a certain distance in the pulling direction of the cord 12 in the connec tion element and is then bent approximately at right angles. After a certain distance, this first bend 151 is followed by a second 152 , to which a further 153, 154 .... follow. The last-mentioned bends of the Rin ne 15 have essentially only the purpose of creating as much space as possible for a possible accommodation of the cord when it comes down to being able to change the effective length of the cord 12 outside the connecting element 11 within wide limits. The tensile coupling of the connecting element 11 to the cord 12 is mainly achieved by the first bend 151 . The component of the tensile force in the axial direction of the cord 12 , which is still effective after the bend in the axial direction and therefore possibly leads to an expansion of the cord and a remarkable reduction in cross-section, is extremely low. Such a tensile force component is reduced again after the redirection and then practically no longer occurs. If the tensile force in the cord decreases, the cord in the angled channel parts 151 , 152 strives to reverse the change in length due to its restoring force.
In order to hold the cord 12 securely in the groove 15 , projections 16 are provided at intervals along the length of the groove on the free edge of the groove, which protrude onto the opposite groove wall. Since the remaining gap is smaller than the dimensions of the cord, it can only be pushed past the protrusions into the trough with elastic deformation and is therefore securely held.
The execution speed shown in FIGS . 2 and 3 corresponds in principle with the embodiment of FIG. 1. Fig. 2 again shows the connecting element 21 , seen from the bottom. The counterpart 23 in turn hooks into an opening 24 of the connecting element 21 by means of a hook 231 . Instead of a meandering angled groove 15 , a zigzag-shaped groove 25 is provided in the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3, which overall specifies a closed loop for the cord 22 , in which this is to be inserted into the groove 25 . A possibly excessive end 221 can protrude through the insertion opening 26 to the outside. The drawing should show that it is irrelevant for the function whether the cord 22 is inserted in the Darge shown in Fig. 2 in the counterclockwise direction in the groove 25 or in the opposite sense. In both cases, an approximately right-angled bend occurs after entering the connecting element, which has the effect described in connection with FIG. 1, which is increased by each additional bend. To fix the cord at the entry point, in the present case, instead of the bridge 112 of FIG. 1, under which the cord must be passed, an outwardly open passage 26 is provided, which protrudes from opposite sides 271 and 272 is partly covered, which leave a gap 27 free, which should be narrower than the diameter of the cord, so that it can only be inserted into the passage 26 in the stretched state. The inserted cord can be secured by a cover plate 29 , as indicated in Fig. 3, which serves at the same time to prevent a deposit of dirt in the Rin ne 25 .
The execution possibilities illustrated in FIG. 4 are mainly intended for cords which are formed from less flexible or particularly stiff material. This can be a variety of materials, in addition to plastics in particular also leather and the like. FIG. 4 shows a view of the underside of a connecting element 41 , the counterpart of which is designated by 43 . The cord to be inserted into the trough 45 is not shown for the sake of clarity. The groove 45 is from its beginning on the edge of the connecting element 41 starting initially pivoted slightly laterally, then turn sharply and bend after a certain distance a white teres time. This bend is followed by a third, which is followed by a U-shaped arch piece 451 , which is essentially intended to be able to take up as much reserve cord as possible in order to have sufficient cord available for changes in the effective length.
The groove 45 shown in solid lines is essentially intended for cords made of reasonably flexible material. In the case of particularly rigid material and in particular a cord-like band made of leather or the like, it is advisable to design the gutter, as indicated by dash-dotted lines in the drawing. This groove 46 has only a few short, sharp-edged bends, which ensure sufficient grip.
