Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the use of a polyol / polyisocyanate mixture, which may contain conventional additives, as a hardenable primer for metal sheets, especially aluminum sheets.
There is often a need to metal objects, especially metal sheets, preferably aluminum sheets, after manufacture with to provide a primer that enables the processor of the sheets to glue the sheets together without further pretreatment. With Aluminum sheets provided with primer are used particularly in the Ski making used. The primers used should be in cured state a good bond with the usually at used in the production of multi-layer skis to ensure. In particular, those are used as adhesives Epoxy resin and phenolic resin base used.
From DE-PS 31 23 763 is a method for forming an adhesive, paintable and foamable layer on cleaned and if necessary activated metal surfaces, especially on surfaces of aluminum sheets, known in which one first of all on the surfaces a first flexible layer of an optionally curable polymer with a glass temperature <40 ° C in an amount of 5 to 150 g / m² and if a curable polymer is used this if necessary at temperatures of 120 to 170 ° C. heated for 2 to 40 minutes and then a second layer of a curable polymer with a glass transition temperature of ≧ 100 ° C in applying an amount of 2 to 20 g / m² and the coated article to a temperature of 120 to 170 ° C for 2 to 40 minutes heated.
Practice has shown that you get the best results if you keep curing temperatures of <150 ° C.
However, aluminum sheets are used to manufacture multi-layer skis or aluminum alloys used when heated a drop in strength properties to temperatures above 140 ° C demonstrate. This is in view of the usage properties of the skis undesirable and disadvantageous.
Another disadvantage of the primers used is that that they compared to the different ones used in making skis Adhesives do not have equally good adhesion-improving properties.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of curable Primer for metal sheets, especially aluminum sheets find which can be cured at temperatures ≦ 140 ° C and what their adhesion-promoting and adhesion-enhancing properties both against epoxy-based adhesives and against such show on phenolic resin basis.
Diese Aufgabe wurde überraschenderweise dadurch gelöst, daß erfindungsgemäß ein Polyol/Polyisocyanatgemisch verwendet wird, das durch VermischenThis object was surprisingly achieved in that the invention a polyol / polyisocyanate mixture is used, which by Mix

Degreased and activated by a chromate-sulfuric acid pickling process Aluminum sheets with a thickness of 0.5 mm and 1.6 mm are also used Coated with the primers of Examples 1 to 4 using a doctor blade. After the solvent has evaporated at 40 ° C Primer cured at 120 ° C for 10 minutes. The applied The amount of primer is 20 g / m². Then a 0.5 mm thick one Aluminum sheet with a 1.6 mm thick aluminum sheet with a commercially available Phenolic resin polyvinyl formal adhesive at 135 ° C during Glued for 30 minutes under a pressure of 0.7 N / mm². The amount of glue is 200 g / m², the mixing ratio phenolic resin: polyvinyl formal 1: 1.2. The glued aluminum sheets are subjected to a roll peel strength test subjected to DIN 53 289.
