Der aus profiliertem Stahl hergestellte Dübel α (Abb. 1) verläuft auf einer Seite konisch in eine verdickte Spitze b aus, auf der anderen Seite ist er in bekannter Weise mit Innengewinde c zur Aufnahme der Befestigungsschraube d versehen. Das Hohlraumprofil e der Überschubhülse f (Abb. 2) paßt genau über das Stahldübelprofil a, und das Außenprofil g dieser Hülse stimmt ebenso mit dem Außenprofil der verdickten Spitze b des Stahldübels überein, so daß, wenn der Stahldübel α in das Mauerwerk eingeschlagen ist, die Überschubhülse f den durch die verdickte Spitze b gebildeten Hohlraum zwischen dem Dübel α und dem umliegenden Mauerwerk gerade ausfüllt (Abb. 3). Da nun die Überschubhülse f auf jener der Dübelspitze b zugekehrten Seite mit Einschnitten h versehen ist, so werden, wenn die Überschubhülse vollends eingeschlagen wird, die eingeschlitzten Seitenteile i an den konisch verlaufenden Übergangsflächen k der Dübelspitze b seitlich auseinandergetrieben, wodurch Dübel und Überschubhülse sich selbst befestigen.
