Die in der Patentschrift No. 16373 mit g bezeichneten Schlagarme oder Schaufeln lassen zu, dafs sich einzelne Waschobjecte zwischen denselben und dem Siebboden festklemmen und zerdrückt werden, was nicht nur Materialverluste herbeiführt, sondern auch die Bewegung der Maschine hemmt. Ihre Form verursacht einen nicht unwesentlichen Widerstand des Wassers gegen ihre Bewegung. Diese Uebelstände werden vermieden und gleichzeitig ebensowohl ein leichter Gang und ein gutes Durcharbeiten des Waschgutes erzielt, wenn genannte Arme nicht direct als Rühr- oder Schlagarme, sondern nur als Träger von pflugscliarähnlich geformten Schaufeln G dienen. Diese durchschneiden das Wasser vermöge ihrer Form mit geringster Anstrengung und werfen die Waschobjecte nach den Wänden des Waschbassins. Jene Früchte, welche nach der Mitte zu treiben, werden von dort durch kurze, krumme Schaufeln, wie in Patent No. 17470 dargestellt, wieder nach auswärts geworfen. Die Form der Schaufeln G, welche auf der Zeichnung zweiseitig dargestellt ist, kann auch derart einseitig gemacht werden, dafs die zu waschenden Früchte nur gegen den Umfang des Bassins getrieben werden.The method described in patent specification no. 16373 beater arms or shovels marked with g allow individual washing objects to be clamped between the same and the sieve bottom and crushed, which not only leads to material losses, but also inhibits the movement of the machine. Zu diesem Zwecke wird die ganze Waschmaschine, wie auf der beiliegenden Zeichnung ersichtlich, in einem gewissen Abstande von der mit b bezeichneten Wandung mit einem festen Wall w aus Mauerwerk oder anderen Materialien (Eisen, Holz) umgeben. Die Höhe dieses Walles ist so bemessen, dafs das durch eine Schwemmvorrichtung oder auf andere Weise zugeführte Wasser innerhalb desselben auf einer für das Waschen vollkommen genügenden Höhe erhalten wird. In dem Walle w selbst ist eine verschliefsbare Abflufsöffnung angebracht, welche gestattet, den Wasserspiegel durch theilweises Oeffnen unter die Walloberkante zu senken oder auch die Waschmaschine ganz zu entleeren. Patent Claims:
