Verfahren zur Gewinnung von Nickel aus nickelhaltigen Hydrosilikaten. Im Hauptpatent ist für die Gewinnung von Nickel aus nickelhaltigen Hydrosilikaten, gegebenenfalls auch anderen nickelhaltigen Erzen, ein Verfahren angegeben, wonach das Erz zunächst bei hoher Temperatur unter Luftabschluß erhitzt wird und dann die Reduktion und Extraktion des Nickels erfolgt. Erfindungsgemäß läßt sich dieses Verfahren dahin abändern, daß bei Erhitzung auf die hohe Temperatur gleichzeitig auch die Reduktion vorgenommen wird. Während die fein gemahlene Erzmasse sich auf einer Temperatur von 500 bis tooo ° oder auch höher, zweckmäßig aber über 85o°, befindet, wird danach zur Durchführung der Reduktion beispielsweise Wassergas, Generatorgas oder Wasserstoff darüber geleitet. Es ergibt sich dann wieder metallisches Nickel, das aus der reduzierten Masse durch Behandlung mit Kohlenoxyd in der üblichen Weise, wie dies -im Hauptpatent näher erläutert ist, extrahiert werden kann.Process for the extraction of nickel from hydrosilicates containing nickel.
