Description
The invention relates to a rotary feeder for delivering Items from a bulk warehouse to an aligning one Acceptance unit. The feed tray is conical with one provided formed bottom that extend from upwards the side walls that are surrounded by the shell bottom in Connect. The side walls form with the bottom of the Shell an included angle of at least 90 °.
Item feeders for which a rotary shell is used to hold the parts to be delivered, are known. Such a feeder has a bowl which has vertical side walls and a stationary ramp, to move objects out of the bowl. If the opposite If they are outside the shell, they will be over close off a flat surface using centrifugal force ßender dispensing moved by an output device. The Centrifugal forces that are required to get objects to move with such a feeder type are due the resulting irregular behavior of the counter would not be advantageous if they have rotational speeds of the feeder that are sufficiently high, to generate an adequate centrifugal force to the To effect transport of the items to be delivered.
The rotary feeder for objects creates a smooth controlled feed without adverse wrong Treat the items as is often the case in tray feeders is found with higher rotational speeds.
The invention is based on exemplary embodiments hand explained in more detail in the accompanying drawing.

Referring to FIGS . 1 and 2, a rotary feeder 10 includes an article receiving device 12 , which may be a container or tray for receiving articles to be treated from a hopper 14 or other mass storage device. The objects receiving device essentially has a conical bottom or a surface portion 16 which is assigned to the circumference of the bottom of the cone of an inclined wall 20 which extends from the bottom of the cone upwards. In a preferred embodiment, the angle between the conical surface and the inclined side wall is 90 °, however, as explained below, this angle can also be greater than 90 °.
The device receiving the objects contains a selection device 22 or a removal ramp. The ramp 22 is designed to provide a means or path that allows objects in the tray 12 to be removed therefrom and positioned on a conveyor 24 , which may be the rim or lip of the tray.
The take-off ramp is fastened to a support 26 and is held in the shell 12 primarily adjacent to the inclined wall 20 along the outer edge 30 of the ramp. The one end 32 of the ramp 22 is located next to the upper surface 16 of the conical bottom, while it ends at a dispenser 34 in a higher position. This ramp delivery device 34 is located next to the edge 34 of the shell 12 , so that the objects transported upward on the ramp 22 can be placed on the edge.
Eine bevorzugte Rampe 22 ist in Fig. 3 gezeigt.A preferred ramp 22 is shown in FIG. 3.
In this illustration, which illustrates an enlarged portion of the device 10 , the shell 12 is shown which has an upwardly extending and an outwardly angled wall portion 20 which bridges the space between the shell surface and the rim 24 of the shell. In this embodiment, the ramp 22 is attached to the bracket 26 by means of a bracket 36 .
The ramp 26 has an inlet end 32 which is provided with tongue members 40 which are seated in recesses 42 in the shell. The ramp extends from the floor 16 at a relatively steep angle to an output portion 44 which is angled downward so that objects such as disks 46 are moved by gravity from the output portion of the ramp to the rim 24 .
If the objects 46 are on the edge 24 , they remain there and move on the edge 24 until they enter a slide 50 which has an inner wall or fence 52 to guide the object from the edge 24 .
Fig. 4 is a simplified representation of the disc 12 of FIG. 1, wherein the conical middle section consists of various blunt cone sections 54 and 56 and a cone 58 be. The truncated cones and the cone 58 may have different heights and wall angles or a combination of heights and wall angles so that parts of different dimensions can be used in a shell to effect a desired movement of the objects through the shell. For example, the cone 58 could be inclined more steeply than the truncated cones 56 and 54 and each of the truncated cones could have different angles of repose. In one embodiment, the cone 58 is not used, but ends at the blunting of an inserted cone.
Fig. 5 is a simplified embodiment of a shell 60 similar to the shell 12, but the edge portion extends generally horizontally. Furthermore, this embodiment shows that the angle 64 , which is indicated above by 90 °, can be greater than 90 ° in a preferred embodiment, depending on the requirements of the parts to be fed from the shell.
In Fig. 6, a simplified view of a shell in ge dashed lines is shown, wherein a cone 70 is arranged in the shell and is fastened to it by means of a fastener 72 be. The cone can be removable so that the cup runs either with or without this cone.
The operation of the rotary tray results from FIGS. 1 and 3. In FIG. 1, a large number of objects to be dispensed, such as the disks 46, are fed from the hopper 14 to the tray 12 . The shell is rotated at a low rotational speed, in a preferred embodiment at a rotational speed between 4 and 25 rpm. Discs loaded into the cup move downward by gravity along the surface of the cone, which is the bottom of the cup, until they are adjacent to the side wall of the cup. As the bowl rotates, the objects are picked up from the ramp and moved up the ramp by the back pressure resulting from the objects subsequently picked up and / or the geometry of the wall. Since the shell wall extends outward and represents an ever increasing radius of the shell when the parts are moved upwards on the ramp, the peripheral speed of the object is increased at its point of contact with the wall. Parts of the objects will accelerate as they move up and out of the bowl. Because the ramp is at right angles to the wall, gravity helps hold the parts against the wall. It should be emphasized here that the wall surface is intended to be coated or provided with a friction-enhancing surface to aid in moving the objects on the ramp.
When the objects reach the top of the ramp, they will slide off the ramp onto edge 24 . A wall 74 holds the objects on the edge 74 in place, although the sloping profile of the edge allows the objects to be moved to the wall 74 by gravity. The objects are carried on the edge to the slide 50 , where the inner wall 52 of the slide guides the objects over the edge to the next stage in the transport of the object.
In Fig. 1 it can be seen that the wall 74 leads the objects to the slide 50 , the objects that are stacked on each other, however, are pushed ver by a stripper 76 , which causes a separation of the stacked objects.
Appropriate changes can be made to the explained Execute embodiments without, however, from Remove the essence of the invention.
