Oberhalb der Membran eines Telephons (s. beiliegende Zeichnungen) ist, concentrisch die Oeffnung des Schalltrichters umschliefsend, ein eiserner Ringr von winkelförmigem (| ) Querschnitt angebracht, Fig. 1. Dieser Ring ist umschlossen von einer Inductionsrolle aus feinem isolirten Kupferdraht, in welcher durch die sogenannte Ueberregung, d. i. durch die von der Membran noch nicht gebundenen Kraftlinien, Inductionsströme erzeugt werden. Diese Ströme werden in den Hauptstromkreis der auf dem Magneten befestigten Inductionsrollen eingeschaltet.
