Abstract

The invention relates to a device for tending plants (cultivated in earth) in receptacles over a long period of time. Receptacles for flowers which represent a human head shape - cultivated with small-leaved herbaceous plants ("bob") - are known, as are receptacles which represent animals (swan, duck, goose, hedgehog). These cultivations may be very attractive, but the problem of tending them over a long period of time has not been solved. This, however, is the problem which has been posed. The solution is a receptacle (1) which consists of a capillary ceramic material, is glazed on the outside and, in the inside, accommodates the root ball (4). A receptacle outer part (1<a>) is permanently submerged in a bottom receptacle (2<a>) with a filling of water (3), from where the entire receptacle (1) is kept moist by the capillary wall (1, 1<a>) - and the plant (5) is tended. The invention is a device for long-term care of plants - in particular of plants from earth culture - which are in containers.

Containers for flowers that have a human head shape represent - with short-stemmed leaf green ("Bubikopf") planted - are known. As beautiful as these vessels are so is the long-term supply of the herb plants Problem. However, this is the problem of present invention.

The solution is a capillary ceramic vessel that is glazed on the outside and picks up the root ball on the inside. An outer container part is permanently in one Submerged with water filling, from where the whole vessel is kept moist - and the roots can supply the plant.
