Schlackensand zusammen in geeigneten Mischmaschinen, Kolleggängen, Kugelmühlen o.
Process for the production of concrete and mortar mixes. After this
The process of the main patent is granulated blast furnace slag with or without the addition of water
or adding gravel with ground slag or ground slag sand for the purpose
Filling and sealing of the pores are intimately mixed before the binding cement is added
is, wherein means can be added to the slag meal, which the premix
make it bindable. This procedure can now be simplified somewhat by the
Elimination of artificial drying and grinding of the sand to be added to the slag

which is obtained, for example, as foundry iron slag, becomes such a soft slag

the like completely or almost completely broken down into the finest particles, and all the more so,
albeit at the same time coarser aggregates of any kind that the concrete later contains
should be added. These additives have a grinding and grinding effect when mixed
and thus support the work of the mixing device. When mixing together
The harder, more resistant slag sand is retained in the mixing devices
and undergoes minor changes in its grain, while the soft slag
is grinded to a powder or, when mixed wet, makes a fine pulp. the
So granular slag is mixed with the slag powder that forms
or the slag was sealed and prepared in the same way as by
Mixing in the previously ground slag according to the method of the main patent,
so that here too the valuable binding cement needs to be added more sparingly,
in any case, it comes into its own as a binding agent.
The sealing of the slag bubbles achieved in this way can be achieved in the same way
Increase in the same way as with the method according to the main patent by increasing the setting ability
the crushed and sealing slag by adding more valuable binders
and possibly also ° by adding suitable agents to stimulate the setting ability
the lime content of the slag increases, after which only the main amount of binding cement
is added.
diesen so teilweise
You can also use the harder, granular slag with an intensive premix
Partially destroy them in suitable mixing devices, causing this type of slag
approaches the grain of the sharp sand of the Rhine and
this so partially
or makes it completely dispensable. The remaining voids are made by the pulp
or filled with the powder of the crushed soft slag. In contrast, the use
of each individual blast furnace slag sand or blast furnace slag not excluded
and the mixture with very different types of aggregates be possible,

o. The like., So that after sealing the various porous substances in the
first part of the mixing process at the beginning of the second process at the same time with the
valuable binders also aggregates, especially those with a dense structure,
can be added because this involves the risk of the valuable binding agent being absorbed
does not exist.
In some cases you will expediently the slag sand in the described
Way, first seal and then mix evenly with the more valuable binding material,
before you get the surcharge, z. B. of pumice, admits. When crushing the soft
Slag sand to fill the harder in the presence of also porous or
softer aggregates, such as pumice, on the one hand is the grain of the
Pumice undesirably crushed and on the other hand from the inferior binders,
namely in pulp form, the pores of the aggregate added or the surfaces
the aggregates completely with a coating of the inferior binder
