Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a pipette, in particular for a Arrangement for automatic analysis of liquids, with a pipette tube.
Devices of the type mentioned are regular Components of a sample distribution system that predominantly is used in medical laboratories. As samples, i.e. the material to be examined, especially whole blood, Serum, cerebrospinal fluid, urine, point clock etc. After The pipette will basically distribute the samples cleaned, and here it is not just the Sterilization usually as a thin tube trained pipette needle, but also that the needle also of remnants sterile per se previous sample is exempted. These leftovers can Influence the measurement result of the next examination.
Known devices and methods essentially go from the knowledge that if the pipette tube from a strong jet of water is applied to the outside, that then the major part of the contamination of the needle is removed. The inner wall of the cannula will also cleaned with a water jet.
The pipette tube is then dried. The known Cleaning process therefore requires several steps to be able to reinsert the pipette needle. This process is not only time consuming - done after washing not just the drying process, but another one Process in which the pipette tube is sterilized - it also does not guarantee the desired cleanliness because Remains of some samples still stick to the needle can, so that the needle either another wash undergo or, if this does not help, by a others must be replaced. It is also important here the fact that the cleaning process is also costly is because the consumption of energy, water and detergent, related to a washing process and a pipette tube, is significant and therefore significant.
It is an object of the invention, a device and a Propose procedures by which the above Disadvantages are eliminated.
This object is achieved in that the pipette tube especially during its Cleaning process with a high-frequency vibrator works together.
The invention is essentially about the cheaper and improving that after each sample distribution Washing process of the pipette tube. Here it comes crucial to shortening the washing process. The idea of the invention is therefore realized in any case if the major part of the pollution of the Pipette tube with one with the pipette tube cooperating high-frequency vibrator eliminated is used as an ultrasound crystal in particular can be trained. That during the washing process too commercially available devices can be used, e.g. a flushing device, closes the inventive concept not out, because in the context of the invention it comes first on the fact that the contamination of the pipette tube with eliminates the vibrator faster and easier can be. The invention is therefore about the commercial devices with the invention to combine. It has been shown that at Setting the needle in vibrations, preferably in Range of 20-40 kHz, all on and in Pipette tube adhering particles from the pipette tube very quickly loosen without damaging the pipette tube would come. The same applies to the smallest Water droplets.
On the other hand, the device and the method according to the invention are also very inexpensive - measured in terms of the period of use of the overall device - and wear-free, since there can be no mechanical wear on the high-frequency vibration transmitter or the pipette tube connected to it. The conventional device is supplemented by only one component, namely the high-frequency vibration transmitter, which is very space-saving and hardly susceptible to malfunction.
Seen as a whole, one device and one Proposed procedures related to the conventional device or the known method only are slightly changed or supplemented, however the cleaning process is significantly shortened and improved becomes.
Further advantageous and expedient measures of the invention emerge from the subclaims.
The pipette tube can be used with the high frequency vibrator be connected in many different ways. Especially It is advantageous if the vibrator with the Pipette tube is releasably connectable. Has this connection proved to be useful especially in such cases if pipette tubes are used in the sample distribution system different sizes and diameters are used, if so for certain reasons of investigation Pipette tube to be replaced by another. Is namely the pipette tube integrated in the vibrator - this form of connection can be useful if it can be assumed in advance that no other pipette tube comes into consideration - then it can be extremely be cumbersome, the connection between the pipette tube and solve the vibrator. Here it can to the destruction of the vibrator or the Pipette tube come. Because the vibrator is regular occupies a very small space, it can Connection area of the pipette tube with the Connection line connecting the pipette tube to the pipette connects, be arranged. However, a constant comes Connection of the pipette tube to the vibration transmitter not considered for certain reasons, e.g. if the Pipette tube has only small axial dimensions, then it is useful if the vibrator as a is formed separate component that with the pipette tube is releasably connectable. In this embodiment of the invention the vibrator can e.g. in a closed room, in which the cleaning of the pipette tube takes place be. The measures can also be taken that after moving the pipette tube into this room, a temporarily fixed connection between the pipette tube and the vibrator is made so that the the vibration originating vibrations on the Pipette tube can be transferred. Is the pipette tube have been freed from the impurities, then the Connection between the pipette tube and the vibrator be solved. How long and how the connection be made between these two devices should be a matter for the specialist.
A particularly simple and good embodiment of the invention takes place in that the vibrator as an ultrasonic Crystal is formed. Such crystals fulfill theirs Function with the pipette tube even if it are relatively small, so they can be designed so that during sampling are not a hindrance. Is this regularly called capillary Tube formed pipette tube vibrated, whose frequency is between 20 and 40 kHz, then the Cleaning effect not only very good for that The cleaning process can take time actually be minimized. It also acts is a frequency used by the operating staff of the sample distribution system no longer acoustically perceived so that it is also not a nuisance by him is felt. The method according to the invention exists essentially in that after the termination of the distribution of the samples, flush the pipette tube with water and then is vibrated, the frequency of the Vibrations is about 20-40 kHz. In such a high vibration the needle is only moved when it is in the Washing station. There the pipette tube is first loaded with water and then vibrating transferred. As a result, the on and in the pipette tube remaining impurities removed. These vibrations have the consequence that the sample residues from the pipette tube to solve. The resulting sample splinters dissolve from the needle and are moving at high speed from hurled her away. It is therefore necessary that Cleaning process in a closed room with air extraction perform to the floating in the form of aerosols Being able to collect contamination centrally.
Es zeigt:An embodiment of the invention is in the drawing shown and is described in more detail below. It shows:
Fig. 1 einen Teil eines Proben-Verteiler-Systems mit einem Pipettenrohr und Proben, schematisch dargestellt, und Fig. 1 shows a part of a sample distribution system with a pipette tube and samples, shown schematically, and
Fig. 2 shows the system shown in Fig. 1, wherein the end of the pipette tube is arranged in a washing system.
FIGS. Show a part of a sample distribution system and here in particular to a device for remotely actuated by means of manipulators removing certain quantities of liquid from a container and inputting the other into a container. This device consists in detail of a pipette tube 10 , which is supported by a boom 12 , which can carry out vertical reciprocating movements on a stand 14 . The boom 12 can not only perform vertical movements, as indicated by the double arrow 16 , but also horizontal back and forth movements, which is indicated by the double arrow 18 . The device shown is therefore part of a system within which the pipette tube 10 can still perform circular movements. The end of the pipette tube 10 is in a tube with a sample. It can be seen that several tubes 20 , 22 , 24 , 26 are arranged in a sample holder 30 . Between the pipette tube 10 and the boom 12 there is a vibration transmitter 32 which is fixedly connected to a carrier plate 34 of the boom 12 . The vibration generator 32 is connected to a central control unit 38 .
If the sample has been distributed into containers (not shown in more detail), the pipette tube 10 is moved into a washing system (cf. FIG. 2), where the residues of the sample adhering in or on the pipette tube 10 are removed. In the washing system 40 , the pipette tube 10 is initially acted upon from the inside and from the outside with flowing water which is fed into the interior of the washing system 40 by means of nozzles 42 , 44 . Then the vibrator 32 is turned on and the needle 10 is vibrated. Then the needle can finally be sterilized, in a manner known per se. After the pipette tube 10 has been moved out of the washing system 40 , it is ready for use again. In the present case, the vibration generator 32 is an ultrasound crystal, but it could also be designed as another component, but it is important that it is dimensioned in such a way that there is no impairment of the sample distribution. As the Fig . 1 and 2 can be seen further, the pipette tube 10 can be connected to the vibration transmitter 32 by means of screws 48 , 50 . The pipette tube 10 can therefore be easily detached from the vibration generator 32 . Generally speaking, the vibration generator can be a separate component which is arranged in the washing system 40 and which cooperates with the pipette tube in the washing system 40 .
