Abstract

The fabrication of curved reinforced-concrete beams requires complex and costly shutterings. The novel development provides a straight, prefabricated reinforced-concrete beam which can be deformed to give a curved beam without using special shutterings. The prefabricated straight reinforced-concrete beam exhibits predetermined bending points which are formed by shuttering parts (2) which are concreted in at regular intervals. In order to produce a curved beam, the beam (1) is mounted on a framework with the desired curvature. After cutting through the top steel reinforcing member (3) in the region of the predetermined bending points and pulling out the shuttering parts (2), the beam (1) adapts to the curvature of the framework, the bottom steel reinforcing member (4) being curved correspondingly.
