Da sowohl das Einnähen der Korsettstäbe in Stoffhüllen als auch das infolge des Körperschweißes auftretende Rosten der einzelnen Flachstäbe deren gegenseitige Längsverschiebung beeinträchtigen, werden solche Korsettstäbe schließlich starr und können dann den beabsichtigten Zweck nicht mehr erfüllen. Die Erfindung soll nun die gestellte Aufgabe in bezug auf einen aus einem wellenförmig gebogenen Draht hergestellten Korsettstab lösen. Es geschieht dadurch, daß seine Biegungen oder Windungen in dem mittleren Teile näher zusammenliegen als an den Enden, so daß dort die Widerstandsfähigkeit des Stabes erhöht wird.A corset rod made from a wave-shaped bent wire.
