For relays that use alternating current, such as this from a crank inductor
should respond, it is important to avoid the vibrations of the relay armature,
which arise when the alternating current curve intersects the abscissa to attenuate so much
that the armature remains practically at rest in the tightened position and the relay contact
ίο closes safely during the alternating current wave train.
Weise behindert.Relays that fulfill this task are already known. They pose however
usually special constructions that have a complicated structure and relatively high
Cause manufacturing costs. In contrast, the invention consists of an additional device of the simplest form,
through which every normal relay, like those in telephony in the extended
Dimensions are used, can be converted into an AC relay at a later date.
The group-wise assembly of such relays is by the additional equipment in none
Way handicapped.
In der Abbildung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel
der Erfindung dargestellt. The figure shows an exemplary embodiment
of the invention shown.
The figure shows a perspective view of a spring contact relay which, in a known manner, consists of the relay coil s with the core, the armature a movably arranged in front of the core and the contact springs f lt f 2 moved by this armature. A cage suitably bent from sheet metal is upstream of this relay on the armature side and is fastened to the front face plate of the relay coil by means of screws e. The bottom plate d of the cage is designed as an inclined plane and provided with a channel β on which a ball g enclosed by the cage can roll up and down. As soon as a current flowing through the 4 ″ relay excites the relay coil s, the armature α is attracted to the core k , and the ball g, which in the rest position was pushed upwards by the armature under spring tension, now rolls on the channel e of the plane d inclined towards the armature downwards until it meets the armature again. Due to the inertia of its mass, it prevents the armature from following the wave trains of the alternating current flowing through the relay and thus forces the relay contact to remain open during the Only after the excitation has ceased is it pushed upwards by the tension of the armature spring, which has become effective again.
The most favorable size of the sphere and the corresponding inclination of the plane ä can be determined by calculation.
