bildet.Capacitor for ignition devices of internal combustion engines. The invention relates to a further improvement of the capacitor for electrical ignition devices of internal combustion engines according to patent 356730. The invention consists in that the capacitor is designed as a plate capacitor, the housing of which forms the fastening nut for connecting the ignition cable to the plug spindle.
Schnitt dargestellt. In the drawing, an embodiment of the capacitor is in
Section shown.
Der Kondensator ist aus runden Platten gebildet. Die Platten i bilden
den Kerzenpol, die Platten 9, den Massepol. Die Platten sind durch ein Dielektrikum
3 gegeneinander isoliert. Der Kondensator wird von einer Hülse 4 umschlossen,
deren Boden und deren Deckel Fenster 5 bzw. 6 für die Kontaktstifte
.7 bzw. 8
besitzen. Per Kontaktstift 7 ist in der Büchse
9
Verbindung bringt. The capacitor is made of round plates. The plates i form the candle pole, the plates 9, the ground pole. The plates are insulated from one another by a dielectric 3. The capacitor is enclosed by a sleeve 4, the bottom and the cover of which have windows 5 and 6 for the contact pins .7 and 8 , respectively. Per contact pin 7 is arranged displaceably in the sleeve 9 and is under the action of a compression spring io, which applies it resiliently to the pole?, Of the capacitor. The sleeve 9 has internal threads for connection to the center electrode ii of the candle iz, so it establishes the conductive connection between the pole - of the capacitor and the center electrode. The threaded bushing 9 is screwed into the bottom part 1: 3 of the capacitor housing, which consists of insulation material. The cover 14 of the housing is made of a conductive material and carries the contact pin 8, which is also mounted in its guide so that it can be moved and rests resiliently against the pole i of the capacitor under the action of a compression spring 15. A screw spindle 16 is fastened to the cover 14, on which a nut 1: 7 is arranged for the connection of a contact spring 18, which brings the pole i of the capacitor into a conductive connection with the plug body or ground.
The construction has the advantage over that according to patent 35673o that its spatial dimensions are considerably smaller, so that the use of the capacitor is possible with any motor. In addition, heating of the capacitor is reduced to a minimum, since the capacitor is completely protected in the box-like shape of the housing and the heat can only be transferred through the relatively small threaded bushing 9 from the spindle.
