Abstract

1. Annunciator identification method in an alarm system, especially a fire alarm system, having several two-wire annunciation circuits (ML), which are monitored on closed circuit and are connected to an evaluation device (AWE) at a control centre (Z) and to which several annunciators (M1, M2...) are connected in each case, an alarm-triggering annunciator causing a voltage dip (ULA) in the line voltage (UL) concerned by virtue of limiting the line current (IL) from the control centre to a first current limiting value (IG1), and the control centre (Z) deriving therefrom an alorm annunciation (AL) of the annunciation circuit (ML) concerned and subsequently sending current pulses (IPZ) to a second, increased current limiting value (IG2) to the annunciation circuit (ML) concerned, characterized in that by means of annunciator supplementary devices (MZS1, MZS2,...) the line current (IL) of the annunciation circuit (ML) concerned is firstly limited, and with each current pulse (IPZ) the full line voltage (UL = ULR) is switched in sequence with a time delay tv to other individual annunciators (M1, M2,...), the alarm-triggering annunciator causing a sudden increase in current (IAL) beyond the first limiting value (IG1), and in that in the control centre (Z) the line current (IL) of the annunciation circuit (ML) concerned is monitored, and the annunciator address is determined from the delay time (n.tv ) from the sending of a current pulse (IPZ) from the control centre up to the sudden increase in current (IAL), and displayed (ANZ).
