Scheuermaschine für Herdplatten. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 13. August 1921 ab.Hotplate scrubbing machine. Patented in the German Empire on August 13, 1921.
The invention relates to a scrubbing machine for hotplates and the like, the new consists in that it is resiliently carried by a roller, which is the abrasive material supporting body is connected by eccentric rods to the roller so that when pressure is applied to the housing of the machine and Simultaneously pushing the scouring material onto the surface to be cleaned and is moved back and forth, whereby cleaning takes place.

Figs. 4 and 5 show details.
The roller 1 is loosely seated on the axis 2, which is mounted in the rods 3 formed into eyes. One end of the axle 2 has a fixed collar 4 and a nose 5 so that it cannot turn, the other end has a washer and a split pin. On both sides of the roller, the Exzenterbügel 6 are superimposed overall 8 S 1 at the end faces of the roller mounted by means of screws 7 eccentric discs which hold with a protruding edge 9 of the Exzenterbügel. The eccentric rods Io are connected by an axis 11 to the body 13 carrying the scouring material 12 in such a way that when the roller ι rolls, the scouring material 12 is moved back and forth. Between the above. Edge 9 of the eccentric disks and the rods are provided on the axis with guide sleeves 14 which prevent the roller from shifting in the axial direction. The rods 3 are held in the cylinders 15 in such a way that they are pressed downwards by springs 16 when the cylinder is pressed and thereby press the roller 1 firmly onto its running surface. T-shaped running rails 17 are soldered to the cylinders and are inserted into incisions 18 in the cap plate 19 from below in such a way that the cylinders 15 rest against the cap plate 19 on the outside and the rails 17 on the inside. In addition, the rails 17 are connected to the cap plate by means of screws 20. The body 13 carrying the scouring material 12 is made of wood and has a recess 2I 3 which is dimensioned so that the roller can roll freely when the body 13 is pushed back and forth. A cast rail 23 is attached to the wooden body 13 by means of recessed wood screws 22. The cast rail has two longitudinal grooves 24 in which the T-shaped rails 17 engage so that the cast rail 23 with the body 13 and the abrasive material 12 is carried by the rails 17 and is moved back and forth by the eccentric rods 10 when the roller ι rolls . In order to reduce the high friction that occurs during the last movement when the abrasive material is pressed onto the surface to be cleaned, balls 25 are provided in the webs of the running rails 17. These balls 25 are inserted into conical holes from below in the webs of the running rails, namely the holes are smaller than the diameter of the balls, so that when working, the counter pressure from the scouring material on the lower running surface of the grooves 24 and in the conical Holes is absorbed by the balls 25. The sheet metal cap 19 is provided with a handle 26 as a handle. Appropriately, however, the handle can also be designed in the manner of a plane. The scouring material consists of a mixture of fine emery dust and thin-bodied glue, which is smeared onto a felt pad and glued to the wooden body 13 when it is dry. The scouring material so formed is more durable and easier to clean than the known scouring materials. When the abrasive strips are used up, they are peeled off the wood with a knife and new strips are glued on.
