Jedes dieser Verfahren hat seine Vorzüge und Nachteile. Beim, .Stampfen werden die Formen zweckmäßig erhitzt, z. B. durch Heizrohre, durch die Dampf oder -ein anderes Heizmittel hindürchgeschickt wird. Wenn die gestampften Körper aus der Form herausgenommen werden, so sind sie der Gefahr ausgesetzt, Formänderungen zu erleiden oder rissig zu werden, und zwar um so mehr, je wärmer die Körper sind. Läßt man sie in der Form erkalten, so können sie ziemlich leicht und sicher gehandhabt werden, ohne sie zu schädigen. Durch den Erkaltungsprozeß geht aber sehr viel Zeit verloren. Nach vorliegender Erfindung nun wird so verfahren, das nach dem Stampfen durch: die Heizrohre an Stelle des Heizmittels ein Kühlmittel, z. B. Luft oder Wasser, hindurchgeleitet wird. Es wird dadurch nicht nur eine Beschleunigung des Herstellungsprozesses erzielt, sondern auch sehr viel Raum und sehr viel Formen gespart, also die Leistungsfähigkeit des ganzen Betriebes wesentlich erhöht.Method of making large electrodes by tamping in heated To shape.
