Eine Einschnürung zwischen dem Querbalken und den Nadelhandgriffen erlaubt, daß durch Hin-und Herbiegen oder durch Verdrehen eine benötigte Akupunkturnadel abgetrennt werden kann. Nachteilig dabei ist, daß man sich bei dieser Prozedur des Abtrennens leicht an den Nadeln verletzen kann. Nicht selten kommt es auch vor, daß man beitn reißenden Abtrennen am Handgriff abrutscht und dabei die Nadel aus dem Handgriff herauszieht, die bei den bekannten Akupunkturnadeln nur mit einem glatten und gerade Ende in den Handgriff eingebettet ist.
