from substances containing glass-forming silicates "
Procedure and facility
for the production of expanded pellets from substances containing glass-forming silicates
The invention relates to a method and a system for thermal treatment
of particles which can be expanded by foaming in the plastic state, in particular
for the production of expanded pellets from fly ash, harbor silt, gravel sludge
and similar substances containing glass-forming silicates, one of these
A mixture containing substances and blowing agents produced green pellets and dried them
, hardened and preheated to a temperature below the softening point
It is known that in large boiler firing with dust coal in large
Amount of resulting fly ash from a waste product into a valuable concrete aggregate
to be converted by foaming at the softening temperature (DE-OS 33 24 936)
to
For this purpose, ferrosilicon nitrite is added to the fly ash and the mixture is added
Foamed softening temperature, this softening temperature depending on the mineralogical
The nature of the fly ash lies within the limits of 1000 and 1300 ° C
Structural bodies produced by the known method have advantageous properties
which make them appear particularly suitable as concrete aggregates
. For example, they have a very low density, above 0.25 g / cm3
lies, and also have a surprisingly high compressive strength and, moreover, have
practically no alkali content.

Minimum grain differs by a factor of 10 (expanded approx. 4 m / sec, unexpanded

LeerseiteThe required residence time of the goods for puffing also depends on
a variety of factors. These are a) diameter of the grain b) density
of the grain c) Temperature difference between flame and target grain temperature
d)
Product preheating temperature e) Cooling of the grain in the edge area f) Required reaction time
of the blowing agent after reaching the viscosity phase Because of the complexity of the
Swelling process, it is not possible to make exact statements about the residence time and thus
about the performance of a blowing unit. The professional becomes one for everyone
Determine the optimal dwell time This largely depends on the firing temperature
ab At higher temperatures, the time can be shortened, but only up to one
certain degrees. As soon as the surface temperature of the grain exceeds 12500C,
If the surface sinters too much and the density of the material increases Solange
however, the surface temperature has not yet reached the swelling temperature
the flame temperature will be higher. To determine the flame temperature in the course of a work cycle
to be able to regulate according to the increasing surface temperature of the grain,
it is provided to draw off exhaust gas behind the cyclone 44 and the combustion gas used
to mix in. It is provided that the mixed in during a work cycle
Varying the amount of exhaust gas in order to achieve a high gas / good temperature difference in the initial phase
to achieve which is then considerably reduced during the response time
The control of the temperature curve is based on these facts and findings
according to a given temperature curve in the course of each work cycle
for example the method claim 7
Despite this possibility
however, the maximum grain should be limited to 5 mm because of the coarser grain
longer work cycles and thus lower furnace outputs have to be accepted
Essential to the invention, the thermal reactor 1 is based on a design concept
, whereby all parts facing the flame gases are air-cooled. It is therefore
A maximum wall temperature of approx. 1000 ° C can be expected to prevent the
Adhesion of hot good particles, which the surface of the inner casing 12
touch, this is coated with a layer of boron nitride. Alternatively can
the inner jacket is made at least partially from a gas-permeable special material
No closure is provided for the discharge of material in the lower part 14 of the cone
, rather the procedure should be such that finished goods are always in the goods removal pipe 23 to
to the height of the capacitive level indicator 24 and thereby the resistance in
The material extraction pipe is so high that no combustion air escapes downwards
can . Since only a slight overpressure of a few mm WS was run in the combustion chamber 15 itself
the resistance of the bulk material is sufficient to divert the from the channels
10 with approx. 7500C exiting hot air. The suspension gas furnace is with (not shown)
Sight holes and thermocouples for temperature measurement and
observation
fitted . Furthermore, all hot-running outer walls of the reactor 1, which
Air flowing through them inside are surrounded by a strong insulating layer
can, for example, with expanded metal and bars at a distance of 6 to 10 cm
attached to the furnace shell and the resulting space with ceramic wool
in the hotter areas and with slag wool in the less hot areas
Because the method and the system according to the invention are uncomplicated
is the difficulties and technical difficulties that have existed so far in the swelling process
Overcomes limits and achieves optimal results both functionally and economically
leads, we can speak of the best possible solution to the task set at the beginning
