Verfahren zur Herstellung luftbeständiger Mischdünger: Es wurde gefunden, daß Gemische von Superphosphat mit Amrnoniumnitrat, die bisher ihrer feuchten bzw. zerfließlichen Beschaffenheit wegen nicht für Düngezwecke angewendet werden konnten, diese nachteilige Eigenschaft nicht mehr besitzen, wenn man bei der Herstellung der Gemische oder nachträglich basisch wirkende Stoffe zugibt. Als solche kommen z. B. Kalk, Kalziumkarbonat, Magnesia und noch besser Ammoniak, besonders vorteilhaft in Form von Amrnoniumkarbonat, in Betracht. Die erhaltenen Gemische sind völlig trocken, kit streufähig und auch an feuchter Luft gut beständig. Beispiel. ioo Teile eines Superphosphats mit 6 Prozent freier Säure werden reit 8 Teilen AmmoniumWkarbonat und 40 bis 5o Teilen Ammoniumnitrat vermischt. Außerdem konnten aber jene Produl@te auch keinerlei Anhaltspunkte dafür liefern, daß es möglich sein werde, die h1ischungen von Superphosphat und Ammoniumnitrat, die infolge ihrer ungünstigen hygroskopischen Eigenschaften als Düngemittel unbrauchbar sind, dadurch in hervorragendem Maße brauchbar zu machen, daß man sie mit basisch wirkenden Stoffen zusammenbringt.
