Description
Method of pickling iron and steel with acids using of additives to acid. When pickling iron and steel, malleable iron, Cast iron, iron alloys such as nickel, chromium, tungsten, etc. steel and the like in the So far the usual way occurs what is called pickling brittleness or irritable fragility Appearance on, To avoid this appearance one can use small amounts of Raw anthracene, sulphite waste liquor, residues from naphthalene extraction and the like for pickling baths add (German Patent 3o9264) or extracts from these substances (Patent 34653o). According to the present process, compounds with nitrogen-containing Ring systems, especially quinoline derivatives, added to the stimulus bath. One can Hard coal quinoline, synthetic quinoline, substituted quinoline, such as acridine, Use alpha and beta naphthoquinoline, quinoline yellow, soluble in fuel and soluble in water. You can also use extracts from the distillation of coal tar, which are the ones listed above Bases included, use. Likewise, those fractions of coal tar can be in which the bases in question are present, use. Likewise, they are synthetic manufactured products applicable. You can, for example, the crude product from the use synthetic production of quinoline or naphthoquinoline directly, likewise the melt which is used for the production of quinoline yellow. the Amounts of additives can vary. A beneficial effect is already in a great deal large dilutions are achieved. The procedure is carried out in such a way that that one adds the listed substances to the irritant liquid and into this pickling bath brings in the object to be treated. Nl_an can also use the additions at the same time introduce with the object.
