Abstract
A firing detector compares a sequence of signal pulses obtained from a UV tube with the sameor a lesser number of uniform clock pulses. The clock pulses are obtained from rectangular pulses supplied to the UV tube. Pref. both sets of pulses are fed to a shift register (1) with a corresponding number of shift register stages (A,B,C,D). The outputs of all stages are coupled to respective inputs of an 01D!gate.
