Description
Process for the production of mineral water or carbonated refreshing water. The calcareous mineral waters have been used for nutrition and curing diseases Obtained a special meaning because few of our ordinary foods Contain as much calcium salts as is necessary to maintain good health. A-- simple representation of such mineral waters is therefore of general value. So far one has the calcareous mineral waters, in imitation of the natural ones a content of calcium hydrogen carbonate produced by adding the latter in the carbonate Water produced from calcium chloride and sodium carbonate by reaction. It was to it is necessary to first add one of the two salts in solution to the water, impregnated with carbonic acid and only then added the other salt in solution and further impregnated. This cumbersome mixture could only be done in the so-called cylinder apparatus be made. These devices are from the operations of the mineral water factories almost completely disappeared, and the trickle or pump devices that were entered in their place do not allow efficient work with two solutions. Because of this, ask the vast majority of mineral water factories no longer produce calcareous mineral water. In most cases today, artificial rare water is just a solution of sodium carbonate -and sodium chloride in carbonated water, which besides the lack of lime also the deficiency has that the sodium carbonate or bicarbonate is more or less the digestive system necessary gastric acid neutralized.
The present procedure eliminates both deficiencies at the same time. This makes it possible to use alkali and calcium salts or magnesium salts in one Solution in the newer impregnation devices, and the acid-neutralizing ones Carbonates are turned off.
The procedure consists in getting the carbonates through the lactates replaced. The lactates in question are in the dilution of the mineral waters completely soluble without the fear of excretions; the lactates of the Iron, unlike the carbonate of iron oxide, do not have the property of being Store the mineral water to excrete flakes of iron oxide hydrate, and further nor are the lactates of lime, magnesia, and alkalis more palatable than the corresponding carbonates. The lactates can be added to either water as such mixed in and then the solution impregnated with carbonic acid in a known manner or in the solution or mixture of the corresponding carbonates with water Add -n the equivalent amount of lactic acid. i h, -created.
The following examples explain the process: i. 60 g of sodium lactate, 65 g of calcium lactate, 0.35 g of ferrolactate are dissolved in 100 l of water. B. under 2 atmospheres pressure, impregnated and bottled.
B. unter 2 Atmosphären Druck, imprägniert und abgefüllt.2. 45 g sodium carbonate (calculated anhydrous), 76 g calcium carbonate (freshly precipitated), 100 1 of water are mixed with the solution of o, o8 g iron powder in o.3o g% lactic acid and 20 g water, then with 204.6 g high percentage lactic acid mixed and carbonated, z. B. under 2 atmospheres Print, impregnated and bottled.
It is natural to add such salts to these solutions can, whose presence in the mineral waters is desirable in special cases; However, these salts must not give rise to any excretions with the lactates used, like sulfates and phosphates with calcium lactate. On the other hand, additives such as chlorides, Bromides, iodides and hypophosphites of alkalis have no influence.
Lactates have so far been used in the production of alkaline, lime, magnesia and ferrous mineral waters have not been used. Well one has to manufacture Lactic acid has already been widely used in lemonades and similar fizzy drinks. In all cases, however, the lactic acid served as a substitute for fruit acids and was not neutralized with alkalis or alkaline earths or their carbonates, but remained in the drink as free acid.
