Abstract

The invention provides a method and device for the reproducible, three-dimensional positioning of a patient, in which at least two references images of the patient are recorded in two different image planes during a first, exact positioning of the patient and are compared with corresponding, real-time images, preferably by digital subtraction, during a subsequent positioning, which is to be reproduced, of this patient, the corresponding images being recorded with the same positions and with the same settings of the recording optical system; the position of the patient is changed until the respective reference images coincide with the corresponding, real-time images which are preferably generated continuously. This permits simple and quick adjustment of the position of the patient which can be reproduced extremely accurately.
