Die in der beiliegenden Zeichnung dargestellten Knöpfe, welche ohne Nähen an jedem Kleidungsstücke befestigt werden können, bestehen aus zwei Theilen, einer Fufsplatte mit T-förmigem Steg und einer Deckplatte mit Schlitz, durch den der Querriegel geführt und dann rechtwinklig zum Schlitz gestellt wird. Eine zwischen Fufsplatte und Deckplatte eingeschaltete Feder oder ein federndes Gummiröhrchen erzeugt den nöthigen Druck gegen die Deckplatte und infolge dessen die Reibung, welche erforderlich ist, um die Deckplatte in der schliefsenden Stellung zu erhalten. Um ein unabsichtliches Lösen infolge Drehens des Knopfes zu verhindern, ist die Deckplatte zweitheilig gemacht, derart, dafs die obere Platte mit einem Kreuzschlitz versehen ist, während die untere Platte nur einen Schlitz erhält. Die beiden Theile α und b der Deckplatte werden durch Falzen, Löthen oder auf andere geeignete Weise so mit einander verbunden, dafs der einfache Schlitz des unteren Theiles genau unter den einen Arm des Kreuzschlitzes des oberen Theiles zu liegen kommt. Bei Zusammensetzung bezw. Befestigung des Knopfes wird der Riegel r des mit dem Gummiröhrchen bekleideten Steges s der Fufsplatte durch den Schlitz f der Deckplatte geführt und diese so weit niedergedrückt, dafs der Riegel r in den Schlitz q gelegt werden kann. In Fig. 5 ist der obere Theil der Deckplatte ganz geschlossen, so dafs man den Kreuzschlitz gf nicht sehen kann.
