Kniehebelpresse.

are used for pressing, embossing, etc., it is often necessary to change the table on which the
Press piece is placed, either by horizontal or vertical movement
to be brought back into working position after each pressing. Here is at exact

Abb. 2 gezeichneten Lage gehalten. Diese Vorrichtung ermöglicht auch, daß J die
in Abb, i gezeichnete Lage einnehmen kann.
Abb. i gezeichnete Stellung gebracht.
Tisch 0 parallele Lage eingenommen.
The press consists of the lower part A and the upper part B. Both are connected by columns C. The lower part A carries the shaft D in bearings. The lever E is firmly seated on the same, while the guide piece F, in which the upper punch with the pressure plate G slides, is rotatable to a limited extent and can be carried around to the right. Through the toggle lever part H, which is rotatably attached to the upper punch, and the coupling rod K, E is connected to the upper punch and the press plate G located thereon. The lever M and the counterweight L are still firmly seated on the shaft. The guide piece F is carried along by a nose, claw, coupling or the like that is seated on D. The element causing the entrainment is released as soon as F comes to rest on the lug N and so that it reaches its position corresponding to the working pressure. The approach on the pan P is used as an attachment to the part J when it is swiveled in. It pushes itself up on it until it reaches the pan bed. When swinging out of the press frame, the guide piece F is carried along by the press plate G, which is firmly connected to the upper punch and thus also through K and H with E. Part J is held in its position shown in Fig. 2 by a resilient device attached to it and to K. This device also enables J to assume the position shown in Fig. I. The mode of operation is as follows: By moving the lever NI in the direction of the arrow according to Fig. 2, F and G are brought into the position shown in Fig. I. The movement of the guide piece F is now ended as soon as it comes to rest against the lug N. At the same time, G has assumed a position parallel to table 0. The lever M is moved further and causes the toggle levers H, J to be pushed through by the coupling rod K, whereby the working pressure between the plates G and 0 takes place. Before moving the lever M, the toggle lever part J is in the position shown in Fig. 2. As soon as the plate G reaches the position according to Fig. I, the part J, after it has first placed itself on the base of the pan P (Fig. 2) and pushed up on it, has reached its position shown in Fig. I. Table 0 can be adjusted vertically using a wedge.
