Description
The invention is based on a method for controlling the power of the heat source of a soldering device the generic concept of the main claim.
Mittel zur Steuerung der Leistung der die Lötstelle erwärmenden Heizquelle sind bei der bekannten Maschine nicht vorge sehen.DE-OS 24 27 390 is already a soldering device with automa table introduction of a certain to be melted Quantity of solder wire to the soldering point with each soldering process became known. In particular, this device has one Sled, which is by means of a drive motor Lets the solder joint to and from it. On the Schlit is an electric motor-controlled wire feed facility arranged. A tax system with an object touch switches for the drive motor of the slide and the electric motor of the wire feed ensures that the Carriage reached its soldering position, then egg ne certain length of solder wire to be melted to which he heated solder joint is brought up and after Soldering the solder wire retracted and the sled too is returned. This ensures that the pre direction in an automatically controlled cycle ar works with the soldering point with every soldering process the same amount of solder wire is fed. Means of Controlling the performance of the heating point Heat source are not featured in the known machine see.
The device according to DE-AS 20 22 716 used for Controlling the temperature in a brazing device an opti containing a photosensitive member cal sensor device that the radiation of the solder joint detected and the heat supply to the solder joint depending control of the measured temperature. This before Direction is only useful in cases where the solder joint is heated so much that the materia lien emit a light radiation, its brightness and color is a function of the temperature reached and perceived by the optical sensor device can be. There are also thermoelectric devices to regulate the temperature of the soldering iron insert Zen and soldering rods of soft soldering machines in different Known versions that should ensure that the soldering iron tip under various working conditions a temperature once set. The So thermocouples only monitor the middle one Power that is supplied to the soldering iron or the soldering rod and the duration of the power supply. An automa table tracking the power of the heat source with the Aim to keep the soldering time constant when soldering para Changing meters is with these known arrangements not provided.
Die DE-OS 29 43 243 beschreibt ein Verfahren zum Ver löten von Teilen mittels eines Lötstempels, dessen An druckbügel von einem elektrischen Heizstrom durchflos sen wird und mit einem den Strom steuernden Thermoele ment versehen ist, wobei die Zeit vom Beginn des Anhei zens bis zum Schmelzen des Lots und/oder die Temperatur gemessen und ausgewertet wird, um die optimale Löttempera tur einstellen zu können.DE-OS 29 43 243 describes a method for ver soldering of parts by means of a soldering stamp, the An Electric heating current flows through the pressure bracket and with a thermocouple that controls the current ment, the time from the beginning of the stay zens until the solder melts and / or the temperature is measured and evaluated to find the optimal soldering temperature to be able to adjust.
The inventive method with the characteristic In contrast, features of the main claim have the advantage part that the soldering time is surprisingly simple can be adhered to exactly, even if one or change several soldering parameters or interference occur. Such disruptive factors include, for example show temperature changes of the heating source that Current fluctuations, or when using gas burners as a heating source, on changes in the flow of gas are due. The soldering parameters that change can count, especially the size, the mate rial and the mass of the parts to be soldered together, their initial temperature and the composition and Thickness of the solder wire. All of these components contribute Use one set to a constant power ten heat source that the soldering time, d. H. diejeni ge time span that changes a predetermined amount of solder wire needs to get off the plumb bob after putting it on melt. The proposed measure ensures on the other hand, that the soldering time is still within an egg nes predetermined setpoint remains when soldering change meters or interference occurs because in sol Chen the performance of the heat source accordingly is adjusted. This is of particular importance in automatic manufacturing systems that, in addition to soldering station still further, independently operated Bear have processing stations to which the workpieces are given cycle times. The non-halves This cycle time in the soldering station would lead to faults system or delays in the workpiece output and thus the manufacturing capacity belittle. It should also be mentioned that the above proposed procedure no additional sensor device to detect the temperature in the area of the solder job needed. This enables the construction in particular easier, cheaper and robust automatic soldering machine.
By the measure proposed in the subclaims Takes are advantageous training and improvements the method specified in the main claim possible. A particularly simple power control the heat source can be, for example, thereby aim that the time between placing the solder wire on the solder joint and the melting of the specified wire length (actual time) with a target time is compared in a comparator whose output signal controls the heating source. The comparison between Actual time and target time in the comparator are used for this purpose moderately between two successive ones Soldering. The time between putting on the solder wire on the solder joint and the melting of the given Wire length can easily be changed by two one Sensors assigned to the timer are recorded, which are in Direction of the wire feed in one of the melt zenden length of the solder wire corresponding distance of are arranged one another.
Es zeigtTwo embodiments of devices for through implementation of the method according to the invention are in the Drawing shown and in the description below exercise explained in more detail. It shows
Fig. 1 ein erstes schematisch dargestelltes Ausführungsbeispiel in Verbin dung mit einem Blockschaltbild, Fig. 1 shows a first schematically depicted embodiment, in conjunction with a block diagram,
Fig. 2 ein zweites Ausführungsbeispiel in einer detaillierten Darstellung, Fig. 2 shows a second embodiment in a detailed representation,
FIGS. 3A-3C is a schematic representation of various Dener Lotdrahtpositionen during a soldering operation.
The soldering device shown in Fig. 1 has a heating source 1 in the form of a gas burner, preferably a micro plasma torch, the output of which is controllable. The heating source 1 is arranged vertically above a wire 3 to be soldered to a workpiece 2 , so that the burner flame 4 is directed onto the wire 3 . The parts 2 , 3 are referred to below as the solder joint. A wire 5 is used as the soldering material, which can consist, for example, of 40% Sn and 60% Fb. The wire 5 is unwound from a roll, not shown, and passes through a tube 6 serving as a solder wire guide, which is arranged in such a way that the end 7 of the wire protruding from the tube is directed at the solder joint 2 , 3 . The tube 6 is associated with a wire feed device, not shown in FIG. 1, which provides a specific, preselectable solder wire length before the soldering process, which is melted during the subsequent soldering. The tube 6 sits on a carriage which is movable from the starting position shown in the direction of the solder joint 2 , 3 until it reaches an end position which is the same if specified. From the starting position of the carriage and also its end position, a position indicator 9 , 10 or 9 , 11 is assigned. Another position detector, which reacts to a position of the slide in which the solder wire end 7 just touches the solder joint 2 , 3 , is designated 9, 12 . With position detectors 9, 10; 9 11; 9, 12 according to FIG. 1 are inductive proximity switches of a type known per se which generate a signal at a precisely defined distance from a metal part and can thereby trigger a switching operation. Instead of inductive proximity switches, capacitive proximity switches could also be used as position indicators for the slide 8 .
As can be seen from Fig. 1, the position detectors 9 , 11 and 9 , 12 are connected to a timing element 13 , which detects the period of time that the carriage needs to change from its position determined by the position detector 9 , 12 to its end position , which is detected by the position detector 9 , 11 . This period begins with the placement of the solder wire of the 7 on the solder joint 2 , 3 and ends with the successful melting of the predetermined solder wire length provided by the solder wire feed device.
The movement of the carriage 8 towards the solder joint 2 , 3 takes place in the exemplary embodiment under the influence of gravity. For this purpose, the carriage 8 to the horizon tal, for example at an angle of 45 ° ge inclines arranged such that the solder wire 5 is aligned with the solder joint 2 , 3 . The force with which the solder wire end 7 is applied to the solder joint depends on the mass of the parts 6 , 8 and on their angle of inclination. In order to avoid upsetting or bending of the solder wire end 7 when placed on the solder joint 2 , 3 , the movement of the carriage 8 can be slowed down from its starting position until it reaches the position detected by the position detector 9 , 12 . For this purpose, the carriage 8 can be assigned a friction brake, not shown, for example, which is released at the time the solder wire end 7 is placed on the solder joint 2 , 3 .
The time span detected by the timer 13 is input into a memory 14 , which is located together with a setpoint timer 15 at the input of a comparator 16 . In this comparator, the melting time of the predetermined amount of solder wire determined by the time element 13 is compared with a preselected target time. In the event of deviations of the actual time from the target time, the comparator supplies a signal proportional to the size of the deviation to a control or regulating element 17 , which changes the power of the heating source 1 until the actual time value approximately corresponds to the target time value. When using a gas burner as a heating source, this can be done by increasing or reducing the gas supply accordingly. The melting time of the solder determined by the position detectors 9 , 11 and 9 , 12 can be recorded in analog or digital form and processed further.
The comparison between the actual time value and the desired time value in the comparator 16 and the output of the control or regulating signal takes place in each case between two successive solderings. For this purpose, the comparator is connected to the position indicator 9 , 10 , the signal of which activates the comparator, also clears the memory 14 and resets the timer 13 via a delay element 18 . The signal from the position detector 9 , 10 can also be used to clock a carrier on which the workpieces to be soldered are arranged at equal intervals from one another in order to bring the next workpiece into the soldering position.
In order to initiate the soldering process, the carriage 8 locked in its starting position is released. This is preferably done by the workpiece carrier when it has carried out its transport cycle. The cycle time can be about 5 seconds. Before triggering the carriage, the solder wire was advanced by the solder wire feed device by a certain, selectable amount, for example by 5 millimeters. After triggering, the carriage 8 moves under the action of gravity in the direction of the solder joint 2 , 3 , the position indicator 9 , 12 first delivering a switch-on signal to the timing element 13 . The time of the signal delivery coincides with the placement of the solder wire end 7 on the heated by the Bren nerflamme 4 solder joint 3 . The solder wire melts and thereby enables the carriage 8 to move further in the direction of its end position defined by a stop not shown. When this position is reached, the position indicator 9 , 11 responds and stops the timer. The detected time period is transferred to the memory 14 and compared in the comparator 16 with the preselected target time of, for example, 1.2 seconds. Depending on the conditions at the solder joint, that is, depending on the workpiece temperature, composition and thickness of the solder wire and the like, the actual time detected by the timer 13 , ie the melting time from the predetermined length of solder wire may correspond to the desired time or be greater or less than that Should be time. If the latter is the case, the comparator supplies a signal which throttles the power of the heating source 1 , for example the gas flow. However, if the actual time is greater than the target time, the power of the heating source is increased between two successive solderings, with the aim of reducing the melting time of the specified solder wire length and thus bringing the actual time closer to the target time. The signal of the position detector 9 , 11 can also activate a return device, not shown in FIG. 1, for the carriage 8 , which returns it to its starting position.
The construction shown in Fig. 2 has a table 19 which is mounted on a stand, not shown, and is inclined to the horizontal at an angle of 45 °. The table has two holders 20 in which parallel guide rods 21 are anchored. The rods 21 are encompassed by slide bearings 22 , 23 , which belong to a carriage 24 . This has two parallel stands 25 , 26 which are connected to one another by a plate 27 . An electric motor 28 , preferably a stepping motor with an adjustable switching step, sits on the plate 27 as a drive for the feed device of the solder wire 29 . To transport the wire serve two friction wheels 30 , 31 , of which the wheel 31 is attached to the drive shaft of the electric motor 28 .
The solder wire 29 is guided in a tube 32 which is anchored in the stand 26 . The solder wire end 33 protruding from the tube 32 points in the direction of the solder joint 34 . The workpiece located there consists of a plate 35 , for example a printed circuit board, and egg nem elongated bracket 36 , between the legs of which a wire 37 to be soldered is inserted. The plate 35 is located in a recess 38 of a workpiece carrier 39 , which is cyclically advanced. The Lötstel le 34 is a heat source 40 , for example a Mi kroplasmabrenner, assigned.
The stand 26 of the carriage 24 works with a Po stionsmelder in the form of a limit switch 41 , which performs the same tasks as the position detector 9 , 10 of the arrangement of FIG. 1. In addition, two further position detectors for the carriage 24 are seen before, which each consist of a photoelectric light barrier ke with lamp 42 or 43 and photo resistor 44 or 45 . The two light barriers are housed in a Ge housing 46 , which has a slot 47 into which a tongue 48 of the carriage 24 enters when the water together with the solder wire 29 held by the friction wheels 30 , 31 of its in FIG. 2 and 3A shown starting position in the soldering position changes over. During this movement, the two light barriers are activated by the tongue 48 one after the other. The light barrier 42 , 44 responds when the solder wire end 33 has reached the soldering point 34 , ie is seated on the wire 37 , as shown in FIG. 3B. The light barrier 43 , 45 responds when the solder wire length predetermined by the solder wire feed device 28 , 30 , 31 has melted and the carriage 24 has reached its end position defined by a stop (not shown) ( FIG. 30). The two light barriers are connected to an electronic time evaluation circuit which corresponds in its basic structure to the circuit shown in FIG. 1. Accordingly, the melting time of the solder wire feed device 28 , 30 , 31 predetermined solder wire length is detected by a timer and compared in a downstream comparator with a preselected target time. As a result of this comparison, the comparator supplies a signal which correspondingly influences the output of the heating source 40 via a regulating or control device if the actual time value deviates from the desired time value in one direction or the other.
To return the carriage to its initial position and to hold it in this position, a pneumatic or hydraulic drive device is provided which has a cylinder 49 attached to the table 19 and a piston 50 movably arranged therein. The Kol bendende carries an angled finger 51 which cooperates with the stand 26 of the carriage 24 . The drive is controlled by signals from the workpiece carrier 39 , the light barrier 43 , 45 and the limit switch 41 , the signal from the workpiece carrier 39 causing a downward movement of the piston 50 . This downward movement follows the carriage 24 under the action of gravity. The timer is activated by the signal from the light barrier 42 , 44 , at the occurrence of which the solder wire end 33 has reached the position shown in FIG. 3B and is seated on the solder joint 34 , and begins with the time recording. The solder heated by the burner flame of the burner 40 melts and fills the spaces between the bracket 36 and the wire 37 ( FIG. 3C). This melting enables the carriage 24 to continue its movement under the action of gravity until the light barrier 43 , 45 finally responds and the time recording stops. The signal supplied by the light barrier reverses the direction of movement of the piston 50 , with its fin 51 detecting the carriage 24 and returning it to the starting position shown. The limit switch 41 is actuated, which switches the wire feed device 28 , 30 , 31 and the drive of the workpiece holder 39 .
