Description

Device for removing purulent secretions from the urethra. With the device according to the main patent 330284 , the approximately 2 to 3 cm long, posterior urethra cannot be suctioned off for anatomical reasons. It is necessary that an instrument with which one intends to enter the posterior urethra has a curvature in the shape of a hook at the insertion end. However, this shape precludes the inner tube from being able to be pushed through and beyond the entire outer tube. The problem of nevertheless contracting all the secretions in the inner tube and exerting a suction effect on the mucous membrane when pulling out the entire instrument to the urethral opening through the opening at the insertion end is nevertheless solved with the present subject, namely by the fact that a more tight seal is created by switching on a rubber ring Connection of the inner tube to the hook tube k is achieved.

In the drawing, Fig. I means a side view of the instrument, Fig. 2 is a vertical longitudinal section through the lower part with its hook end.

The tube a, which has only three windows l about 1 cm long, is provided with a screw-on hook k; This ends in a hemispherical shape at the insertion end and has an opening there, the edge of which is rounded so that the urethral mucosa cannot be injured when this tube is inserted. A straight unwindowed tube a is pushed into the tube a, which extends beyond the window l. It is also tapered hemispherically at the insertion end. The inner screw thread is located inside the hook edge, the outer one on the outer wall of the tube a. Behind the screw thread in the hollow hook edge there is an approximately 2 mm wide, concentrically inserted annular projection n perpendicular to the pipe. A rubber ring o can be loosely placed on this ring m. If the instrument is now screwed together, the lower edge of the inner tube e hits the rubber ring with its lower edge when it is pushed forward into the tube a and into the hook-shaped projection k. If the tube e is pressed firmly against the rubber ring, there is an airtight space from the hook end opening to the end of the tube e, where the suction rubber ball is attached. The space between the tubes a and e can now safely be brought into contact with the atmospheric air without the suction force at the hook-shaped open end being affected. The access of the atmospheric air between the tubes a and e, which is desired after the suction act, so that the instrument can be removed without damaging the mucous membrane located on the suction windows, can take place through a perforated window p - at the upper end of the outer tube a, the is outside the urethra. It is closed by a Gurnmi cuff y about z cm long. As soon as this rubber hose is lifted from the hole, the window is open and atmospheric air can enter between d: e tubes a and e. When it is removed, despite this ventilation of the window, it continues to suck the opening at the end of the hook as a result of the construction described above, a suction act that is desirable and does not cause any difficulties in removing the entire instrument from the urethra.

PATENT CLAIM : Device for removing purulent and slimy secretions from the urethra according to patent 33o284, characterized in that the inner tube (e) meets a rubber ring (o) which meets in the straight part of a hook-shaped attachment (k), immediately behind the Screw thread, located on a corresponding rest bearing (s) in order to achieve a tight connection of the inner tube to the hook end and thus also to be able to remove secretions from the posterior urethra.
