Die Doppelspitze ist so beschaffen, dafs man in derselben sowohl dicke Cigarren in den gewöhnlichen Facons, als auch kleine, dünne Cigarren, sogen. Damencigarren, oder Cigaretten rauchen kann.The double point is such that in it one can find both thick cigars and ordinary ones Facons, as well as small, thin cigars, sucked. Zur Aufnahme dicker ,Cigarren dient die Hülse A, Fig. 1, zur Aufnahme von dünnen Cigarren oder Cigaretten die Spitze B, Fig. 2. Die letztere besteht aus dem Röhrchen b, welches das Mundstück c, sowie den zur Aufnahme von kleinen. Cigarren oder Cigaretten bestimmten Theil d trägt; sie wird in der Hülse A verstellbar gelagert, so dafs sie selbstständig zu benutzen ist, aber auch als Mundstück für die Hülse A gebraucht werden kann. Um die Spitze B auf letztere Weise verwenden zu können, ist in die Hülse A die Schraubenmutter a^l eingesetzt und die Spitze B mit dem Schraubengewinde b^l versehen. Die Spitze hat ferner einen Vorsprung c¹ und ist in Fig. 3 von einer Spiralfeder C umgeben, welche zwischen dem Hülsentheil a¹ und dem Spitzentheil d sitzt. Die Spiralfeder, in theilweiser Spannung, drückt die Spitze B abwärts, soweit dies der Vorsprung c¹, der gegen die Hülse A geprefst wird, gestattet. Die Spitze B erhält hierdurch in der Hülse A den erforderlichen Halt, kann nunmehr bequem am Theil d mit einer kleinen Cigarre oder Cigarette versehen und, da sie von d nach c den Rauchdurchzug gestattet, selbstständig benutzt werden. Wird die Spitze hierauf (wie bei Fig. 4) unter vollständiger Spannung der Spiralfeder gehoben und mit ihrem Gewinde b¹ in die Hülsenmutter a¹. eingeschraubt, so kann eine dicke Cigarre in die Hülse A eingeschoben und geraucht werden. Die Spitze B dient hierbei als Mundstück der Hülse A und schliefst die obere Oeffnung der letzteren so ab, dafs auch in diesem Falle der Rauchdurchzug durch die Spitze B von d nach c stattfinden mufs. Wird das Gewinde b¹ aus der Mutter a¹ ausgelöst, so führt die Spiralfeder C die Spitze B wieder in die Lage wie bei Fig. 3 zurück.Thicker for receiving, cigars the peak B, Fig serves the sleeve A, Fig. 1, for receiving thin cigars or cigarettes. 2. The point B serves as the mouthpiece of the sleeve A and closes the upper opening of the latter so that in this case too the passage of smoke through the point B must take place from d to c. If the thread b ^{1 is released} from the nut a ¹ , the spiral spring C leads the tip B back into the position as in FIG. 3.

Patent claim:
