Device for parallel positioning of shafts. The on accompanying drawings
The device shown serves to set the shaft of a machine in parallel
an existing shaft line.
Trapezes A B' C D aus den gegebenen Stücken (Fig. i). Letzteres scheidet
bzw.
The construction principle is based on the following geometric task: to lay two parallel lines (lines of sight) through the end points of a moving straight line x (machine shaft) in such a way that they cut off the same distance x from a second straight line (transmission shaft) whose position is given. Two solutions are possible: either construction of a parallelogram ABCD or an isosceles trapezoid AB 'CD from the given pieces (Fig. I). The latter is ruled out because the two lines x should run parallel. The practical implementation of the above task emerges from the following construction: The device (Fig. A) -consists in detail of the sighting instrument a, which is fastened to the machine shaft or machine, and the solder suspension device b, which is attached to the existing shaft will.
The sighting instrument (Fig. 4, 5 and 6) consists of a spirit level
trained foot c, on which the two rotatable telescope attachments at a distance x
d and e are attached. These are interconnected by the rod f in the manner
coupled so that the rotation of one telescope is the same as the movement of the other to the
Consequence. This ensures that the telescope axes are always set parallel
will.
aufgesetzt.
Visiert man
_The solder suspension device (Fig. 7 and 8) consists of the frame 1a mounted on four rollers g, which in its lower part contains the built-in axis of rotation i for fastening the solder cords, which is operated with the crank k and with the wing nut l in the desired position Location is held. The guide bodies in, which are connected to one another by the traverse n, are fixed to the frame on the axis. The guide bodies are drilled through so that the two plumb bobs have the same distance x as the telescope axes of the sighting instrument. So that the solder suspension device can also be used when the transmission wave is running, a wire rope is attached to the crossbeam n, the end of which is weighted down on the floor of the workshop room. This is intended to prevent the hanging device from migrating. Application: After the machine to be aligned has been leveled at the desired place and parallel to the existing shaft line, the sighting instrument is fastened to the machine shaft or in some other way parallel to it and the plumb line suspension device is placed anywhere on the shaft line (if possible at an angle to the sighting device). Then the crosshairs of the left telescope are set precisely on the left plumb line of the suspension device by corresponding rotation of the plate washer o (Fig. 4) and this position is fixed with the locking screw p. If one now aims through the right telescope, the telescope axis must meet the right plumb line when the two waves are parallel. If this is not the case, the machine must be moved up until the two telescope axes fall on the corresponding plumb lines. It is irrelevant whether the sighting device is placed horizontally or inclined on the machine shaft (Fig. 3). _
