Abstract

Rapid changing and/or clamping device for the tooling of injection moulding machines has facilities to align the two halves of the mould between two facing movable clamping plates. Push-in guides on these plates assist this process. A transfer carriage transports the tooling across a guide rail and is fitted with a transverse roller table on which power cylinders move the injection tooling in and out of the push-in guides. This creates an easy and reliable tooling change with a min. distance between the clamping plates and aligns the tooling exactly.
