Kartoffel-Sortiermaschine. Die Maschine hat den Zweck, Kartoffeln
nach Größe zu sortieren. Die Maschine ist zu diesem Zwecke im vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel
so gebaut, daß sie Speise-, Pflanz-und Futterkartoffeln voneinander trennt. Die
Teile, welche die Trennung bewirken, bestehen aus zwei übereinandergelagerten Zellenwalzen.
Die Größe der Zellen der oberen Walze ist so bemessen, daß nur Kartoffeln zweiter
und dritter Größe, d. h. Pflanz- und Futterkartoffeln, in die Zellen einfallen können,
während die Kartoffeln erster Größe, d. h. die Speisekartoffeln, im Einfüllkasten
bleiben. Der letztere kann seitlich ausgezogen werden, so daß die darin zurückgebliebenen
Speisekartoffeln nach unten aus dem offenen Boden in eine Ausfallrinne fallen können.
Die Kartoffeln zweiter und dritter Größe, d. h. die Pflanz- und Futterkartoffeln,
gelangen bei der Drehung der oberen Walze mit nach unten in einen zweiten Kasten,
unter dem wiederum eine Zellenwalze mit kleineren Zellen angebracht ist. Diese Zellen
sind so groß, daß nur Futterkartoffeln. einfallen können, während die Speisekartoffeln
im Kasten zurückbleiben und ebenfalls wieder durch seitliches Ausziehen des Kastens
zum Ausfallen durch dessen offenen Boden in eine zweite Ausfallrinne gebracht werden
können. Die kleinste Kartoffelgröße wird mit der unteren Walze nach unten gedreht

die offenen Böden der Kästen 6 bzw. 7, sobald dieselben seitlich aus dem Maschinenrahmen,
auf Schienen laufend, herausgezogen werden, einfallen können. 1q. und 15 sind Öffnungen
vorn an den Ausfallrinnen, durch welche die Kartoffeln in bereit gehaltene Körbe
